Hot gasesSun is just a huge ball of gases.

It is mostly made up of two gases.

Hydrogen- 90% and helium- 10%

these gases are also found on earth.

• Sun has too much weight which is why it has gravity.

• The gases in the sun are so hot that they glow that’s why we always see bright sun.

Nuclear energy

• In the middle of , gases is squeezed together so much that tiny gases join up. makes powerful nuclear energy makes sun hot.

• Change in color of sun because it is the way the sunlight is absorbed by Earth.

• The center of the sun is core, where nuclear energy is made.

• The bright end of the sun is Photosphere.• The corona is a very large area of hot

gases around the sun.

Sun has dark patches on the photosphere. They are Sunspot.

They are black because they are cooler than rest of the sun. They do not glow.

It is like related to mare or lave which gets cool and become dark in color.

• Solar Flares are hot gases that explode from the photosphere. They send gases kilometers of away into space.

• during magnetic storms on the sun cause huge sun quakes.

• Prominences- They are sheets of gas that also begin on the photosphere much larger than solar flares.

Solar wind

Sun also gives out tiny particles that hurls around the space. They are called solar wind. This wind also reaches earth.they usually see them in north or south pole. They are really beautiful.

BASIC THINGS ABOUT FUSION

The combination of high temperatures and great pressure cause an important reaction called Fusion.

Fusion is the process that makes hydrogen bombs work.

When fusion takes place, the sun’s hydrogen atoms join together and become helium atoms. Tremendous amount of energy is produced.

will swallow all it’s solar like black hole because of increase in gravitational force.
