Office Services Division Company History: Of the 800 North American Van agents nationwide, Sterling is the 3 rd largest with total sales of over $27 million. Our size allows us to offer many advantages, unlike most other moving companies, who use the same resources to perform all their services, (household goods, high tech and trade show transportation, storage and office moving). Sterling has created distinct divisions that specializes in one service area. This specialization allows us to become much more proficient in each area, resulting in better service to our customers. Our Office Services Division is a classic example of this philosophy. Established in 1994, our Office Services Division was created to meet the needs of the diverse business community in New England. This Group was created and is managed by Jerry Markow and Michael Norton, who between them, have over 30 years of experience selling, planning and managing office and industrial relocations. The Office Services Division has grown rapidly to include 100 people and now represents over $9 million in gross annual sales; more than 3 time our nearest competitor.

Office Services DivisionCompany History:

Of the 800 North American Van agents nationwide,Sterling is the 3rd largest with total sales of over $27

million. Our size allows us to offer many advantages, unlike most other moving companies, who use the sameresources to perform all their services, (household goods,

high tech and trade show transportation, storage and officemoving). Sterling has created distinct divisions that

specializes in one service area. This specialization allowsus to become much more proficient in each area, resulting

in better service to our customers. Our Office ServicesDivision is a classic example of this philosophy.

Established in 1994, our Office Services Division was created to meet the needs of the diverse business community in New England. This Group was created and is managed by

Jerry Markow and Michael Norton, who between them, have over 30 years of experience selling, planning and managing office and industrial relocations. The Office

Services Division has grown rapidly to include 100 people and now represents over $9 million in gross annual sales;

more than 3 time our nearest competitor.During the past 15 years, we have concentrated on bringingon board the most talented people in the industry, with an eye towards offering our customers a single-source project

team. We have accomplished our goal of becoming the leading commercial moving company in New England.

In addition to our moving services, we offer installation of modular furniture, pallet racking, inventory and warehouse

shelving as well as caging. We also disconnect and reconnect desktop computers. All installations are handled

in house. We DO NOT subcontract these tasks as most movers must.

Mission Statement:

Move Solutions… Quality, Value and Service

WITHOUT EXCEPTION

And we back it up with:

Experience:

Our Project Managers, of which we have eight, have five to twenty-five years commercial move management experience each. All are fully versed in the nuances of relocations in our varied market from smaller five person legal offices to three thousand person corporate campuses. We cover the full spectrum of typical office moves, industrial machinery, libraries, high tech testing and manufacturing, forty million dollar server rooms, biotech laboratories and equipment, hospitals, universities and school systems, and hotels.

Our Supervisors all have in excess of five years commercial supervisory move related experience. Many have been with the division since its creation.

The Drivers are some of the top rated in the business. Their driving skill, load knowledge and backgrounds insure what goes in at origin arrives as it was taken.

We field eighteen highly trained Installers, well versed in the myriad of cubicle manufacturers’ designs and office furniture installation. They also are qualified in pallet rack installations and competent assembling such sensitive equipment as bio-safety cabinets.

Our Movers are all our employees. Daily, we field some sixty full timers, supplemented nights and weekends by our part timers giving us the ability to run one hundred twenty movers for off hour and weekend moves which are our peak times. We use NO TEMPORARY LABOR. All employees are in house trained, arrive in uniform and prepared to go to work, not to receive on the job training at your expense.

Capacity:

Sterling is unique in that the size of our Office Services Division allows us to perform many large projects simultaneously. We typically have 3-5 large relocations happening on any given Friday and/or Saturday. The size of your particular relocation dictates that the mover must have this type of capacity. Sterling will not have to stop all of our other office moves, in order to service your company, as many other movers will. As a matter of fact, given the crew sizes needed each weekend, we perform 3-5 jobs of substantial size each weekend simultaneously. This is important since it is inevitable that the vendor selected will be needed by its other customers. A specific example of this is on one recent weekend, when we relocated 20 trailer loads for Oracle, 5 trailer loads for Cisco, 20 trailer loads for HBSR, 5 trailer loads for Compaq, and 10 trailer loads for Key3Media, representing a total of 60 trailer loads. Total manpower was 114 men on Saturday. You will find these companies on our reference sheet and we welcome do diligence on your part.

Reliability: It is important to know the capabilities of your chosen mover and trust in their ability to perform at your highest levels of expectations. Whether your business is large or small, office related or includes highly sensitive equipment, it is your livelihood. This is precisely how we approach each move.

All projects are discussed in detail with our operations department to insure the proper mix of personnel and skill sets are on each job.

Our customers know we honor our commitments, arrive when and as specified and perform as expected. We do not overbook, as does our competition, requiring temporary labor to fill their crews. We would rather turn down work or endeavor to consider alternate times and dates than provide mediocre service with unskilled manpower. Our customers know what to expect, a highly trained, professional crew, whose livelihood is in the moving business.

References:

Attached is a listing of current references, none over two years old. It is important to note that we are not offering one or two of our best, but one hundred firms from all areas of the marketplace. We encourage our contacts to be candid as we encourage you to qualify us as your vendor of choice.

The amazing thing is you will know many of the names. If in your field, possibly the contact.

The Sterling Office Services Division is all about meeting and exceeding expectations. Our mission statement speaks precisely and plainly about what we stand for :

Move Solutions…… Quality, Value and Service…… WITHOUT EXCEPTION

The Move Process:

Proper Walkthrough

This is where the move begins. You will notice Sterling’s Project Managers take detailed inventories. They ask probing questions

and seek first hand knowledge, rather than price your relocation based on assumptions or standards.

Create a Move Plan

From the the inventory we will determine the accurate number of truckloads. Armed with this information, as well as the logistics

surveyed during the walk-thru, we will design a plan that most effectively makes use of proper manpower and time.

Present the Plan

It is important to us that our plan is realistic. We create a plan that takes our customers’ specific goals into account. At the same time our extensive knowledge will ensure that their expectations are both practical and attainable. We work with the customer to create a plan where everybody wins.

Pre-Move Meetings

Our Project Managers meet with you, your staff and employees, as necessary to educate all involved throughout the process.

Labeling, packing, floor plans and special equipment concerns are discussed. We are also available to meet with your other vendors. People like your construction contractor, as well as your furniture, cabling and telephone people.

Move Day

At this point all packing and labeling has been completed. Your computers have been disconnected and the staff has left for the day. The move plan is then executed.

Once the last truck has been loaded, a final walk-thru is performed to ensure nothing has been overlooked. This walk-thru will guarantee that all items have been delivered to their proper locations.

Post Move

This is an optional service performed by a small crew, generally the first business day after the move. We will perform tasks such as unpacking, fine tuning of furniture, hanging whiteboards and removing crates.

Quality Assurance:

At Sterling, our number one goal is to maintain a consistent level of superior service. We understand that anyone can supply superior service, some of the time. The challenge is designing a system where quality is the rule and not the exception.

To reach or goals of excellence in service and consistency:

-No Temporary Labor is Used

-Office Services Division was established with all staff and crews specifically trained in office moving and related services.

-Project Managers have years of experience in managing large projects and run all large projects.

-Single Source Capabilities; ie., we always have an installer on each crew in case tools are needed, etc.

-It is ingrained in all Sterling Supervisors that the job is not complete until all of the customers expectations are met. Our references speak for themselves.
