About Slovenian Innovation Forum

This year the 10th Slovenian Innovation Forum is becoming an international event with

participants from Central and Southeastern Europe.

The vision of Slovenian Innovation Forum is to become one of the main innovation-

investment event in this part of Europe, thereby contributing to the establishment of business

links between Slovenian and foreign innovative potential.

Admission is free of charge for all visitors.

The organizer of the Slovenian Innovation Forum is SPIRIT Slovenia, a public agency with

the support of the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology.

Implementation of the event is held by the COBIK in partnership with Coinvest, Internet

Week, Hekovnik and international partners from Israel, Austria, Slovak republic, Turkey and

Great Britain.

Presentation of 45 Slovene best innovations of the year 2015

One of the 45 Slovene best innovations of the year 2015 is the Heritage crochet hanging

cradle for babies by the winner of Startup vikend Anita Česnik Mažgon.

This beautiful crocheted hanging cradle was first made for my third son.

And it turned out so pretty, useful and calming that we just had to offer this beautiful

experience to everybody.

Because of its soft organic shape it feels safe and soft like the womb, and the baby loves to

snuggle into the hand-crocheted sides of the cradle. Perfect in its imperfections. The cradle

hangs from the ceiling like a cloud. The baby quickly learns that, just by moving a little, she

can swing herself to sleep. Soft movement calms her down and, as she peeks through the

holes in the sides and watches the game of shadow and light, helps her fall asleep.

The cradle is made from repurposed cotton linen so it is a part of heritage already. I love the

idea of repurposing, as it isalso eco-friendly.

The bottom is made of a 10 mm plywood, while the frame is made of innox.

Cotton sides are removable and can be machine washed.

ABOUT THE EVENT:

Coinvest Venture Days is a 2 day event connecting startup founders from SE Europe and

international smart investors, including global venture capital funds like DFJ, Partech and

Hardware Club, business angels from the region, international business accelerators like Wayra

and Hub:raum, and corporate investors. 70 selected startups will present to 100 investors and total

crowd of 500 trend-setters is expected to co-create amazing event.

INVESTOR DAY (Nov 18): The first day is reserved to 50 top early stage and growth startups

from South East Europe raising 100k - 5M EUR and international venture investors. Winner takes

10.000 EUR in cash and business trip to Silicon Valley. It is a closed-door, invitation-only event.

The program will enable venture investors to meet each other and identify rising stars in startup

world. The program concludes with an evening networking event.

STARTUP DAY (Nov 19): On the second day, smart money talks ! Hear the future of technology

and investing from 18 speakers from 10 countries, including VC gurus like Tim Draper of DFJ and

Philippe Collombel of Partech. All talks given either from C level investors or startup founders that

acquired smart capital. Also an unique opportunity to see live (pre)seed startup battle for two on-

stage equity investments up to 50.000 EUR. The event is open to public and enables you to

participate at great talks, meet many interesting people ranging from investors, entrepreneurs,
