Luxe Fête produced the “Discover Haiti” Exhibit and VIP Dinner for Donna Karan and Urban Zen Foundation. The
exhibition showcased a collection of luxury art, accessories, clothing and home furnishings designed and produced in
Haiti. 50 VIP friends of Donna Karan then dined in the studio of renowned Haitian artist Edouard Duval Carrié. “Your
design and execution is beyond measure. I may have to kidnap you Nathalie.” - Donna Karan.

!! Estate Wedding
Kristin and Bobby wed in Kristin’s childhood home. To personalize the ceremony, they gathered sand from places all
over the world that held special meaning to them: Exuma, where they met and fell in love; Islamorada, where Bobby
grew up and proposed to Kristin; the beach at Kristin’s family home where they were to wed; and South Africa, where
Kristin’s family is from. “You made the entire planning process stress free. It was the most magical day. I will miss you
Nathalie, so please promise to keep in touch.” - Kristin

Luxe Fête produced an “Up Close and Personal” series with 12-time Grammy Award Winning Conductor, Michael Tilson
Thomas. The series was staged on the New World Center Performance Hall, designed by Pritzker Prize winning
architect Frank Gehry. Fellows from the New World Symphony performed a Brahms Quartet. Maestro Tilson Thomas
then candidly entertained questions about his vision for the future of classical music. “Nathalie, thank you for bringing
such class and sophistication to the New World Symphony.” - Tilson Thomas.

!! Soho Beach House Wedding
Mika and Dan, clients from New York City, wed at Soho Beach House on Miami Beach. “I can't wait to see you and give
you a HUGE thank you hug for creating and being such a big part of our wedding weekend! You are SO ridiculously
good at what you do! Dan and I are reliving every second from the weekend and keep coming back to what a rock star
you are! I have so much more to say in gratitude but this email will hopefully hold me over until we return. Big hugs from
Maldives!” - Mika!

Nigerian clients, Abbie and Moji, invited guests to a weekend in Miami Beach to celebrate Abbie’s 50th Birthday. Friends
and family joined from Nigeria, Paris, London, Dubai and New York for the destination celebration. The festivities
included a beach day of sports, lounging, barbecuing and VIP experiences. Guests then enjoyed an evening of dancing
and fine dining. Cinematographer Michael Atwood was flown across three continents to document Abbie’s life - a
surprise film that was shared with guests during dinner. “There are no words to describe what you have done for this
family. Thank you for your vision Luxe Fête.” - Moji

Nathalie Cadet-James lights up any room with her style. As the founder of Luxe Fête
Event Planning and Design Studio in Miami, she inflects her flair into unfor-gettable celebrations and parties. After the birth of her first daughter in 2007, Cadet-James, who is of Haitian descent, left a thriving law career to channel her creativity into the launch of Luxe Fête. “Among my group of friends, I was al-ways the go-to person for transforming dinner parties and weddings,” said Ca-det-James. Making the leap into a career in event planning was a no-brainer but the move took considerable moxie.
Corporate events, weddings, birthdays and baby showers are some of the creations Cadet-James masterminds for her international patrons, a roster brimming with VIP Floridians, Brazilians, Russians and Caribbeans. Each event reflects her personal aesthetic—an organic authenticity that steers clear of pretense—while allowing the client’s personality to shine through. For discerning clientele, this mix provides a unique blend of comfort and derring-do.
Case in point: A recent client desired an intimate familial wedding and suggested either a chic hotel or her child-hood estate for venue options. Cadet-James produced a rustic, elegant dinner and reception under the stars, over-looking Miami’s Intracoastal Waterway. “We created a fire pit on their beach to offer up a sense of kinship. It was all about the experience. Guests stayed hours past the last song, just like family.”
From idyllic to modern, Cadet-James’ aesthetic takes cues from her far-flung travels, fashion and interior design. She admires Chanel for its timelessness and relevance. The sensual, structural lines of Frank Gehry’s New World Center in Miami Beach, imbued with light and air, is her favorite venue. On the forefront of the Miami culture scene, Cadet-James is the director of Friends of New World Symphony, the young patrons group. “Miami is trans-forming right before our eyes. It’s wonderful to be a part of shaping the city’s future,” she said.

A sophisticated spirit hardly detracts from her philanthropic accomplishments. Cadet-James’ Haitian roots inspire her to give back. She spends her time mentoring young Haitian women and exploring ways in which commerce and philanthropy can help local artisans compete in the global marketplace. Though she produces eight to 10 major events a year, Cadet-James’ two daughters and marriage are her top priorities. Truly, this Miami gem is both event guru and queen of her castle.
