ABOUT THE FUND
Established in 2007, the Education Exchanges Support Foundation is the national agency respon-sible for programmes and activities in the field of education and vocational training. To date it has administered more than 50 projects. The Foundation is financed by the European Commission and the Government of the Republic of Lithuania.
By initiating and administering the programmes and projects we actively contribute to the improvement of the education system.
MISSION STATEMENT
VISION By 2020 the Education Exchanges Support Foundation – the leader in in-ternationalisation development of the education system in Lithuania.
OBJECTIVES OF THE FOUNDATION
To be a progressive, learning organisation which constantly seeks to im-prove the processes of governance and operations, while using up-to-

wHO IS ElIgIBlE FOr SErVICES prOVIDED By THE FOUNDATION The activities of the Foundation are equally relevant for people of all ages. All kinds of institutions – kindergartens, schools, institutions of higher education or otherwise related to education and vocational training – can take part in the projects.
Representatives of various associations, business or non-governmental organisations, other structures seeking to improve their field of activities or enhance the qualification of employees can also avail of the opportunities provided by the Foundation. Programmes and pro-jects administered by the Foundation are relevant for everyone interested in the concept of lifelong learning.
COOpErATION prOJECTS FINANCED
41,776In 2007–2013, 1,341 applications for mobility were received from all sectors of education, of which 914 projects received financing and were successfully implemented.
In 2007–2013, 386 applications were received for other types of projects (organisation of workshops or trainings for arriving mobility partici-pants); 145 of these projects were financed and successfully implemented.

lIFE lONg lEArNINg prOgrAM
In 2014, the Foundation started the implementation of a new Erasmus+ programme. In 2014 and 2015, 897 applications were received for individual mobility organisation projects and strategic partnership project implementation, of which 445 received financing.It is planned that in 2014–2015 more than 13,000 participants – students, pupils from vocational training schools, lecturers, and specialists of adult education and other fields – are going to use the Erasmus+ mobility opportunities.
In 2007–2013, the Foundation implemented one of the largest programmes of the European Community – the Lifelong Learning Programme, encompassing general education, vocational training, higher education and adult education. During this period, 4,284 applications for cooper-ation projects were received, of which 1,289 projects were financed and implemented successfully.

ErASMUS+ prOgrAMSince 2007, 767 students, doctoral students and scientists from education and science institutions have gone abroad for temporary periods of study, while 1,366 foreign nationals have come here to study, on research placements and as visiting lecturers under national higher edu-cation programmes (programmes for state scholarships under international cooperation agreements, and support for visiting foreign lecturers and foreign students pursuing Masters studies) implemented by the Foundation:
