ABOUT EPIPHANY CENTER: Mount St. Joseph-St. Elizabeth, doing business as Epiphany Center, is a nonprofit organization that serves at-risk women, children, and families. The Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul began serving the children of San Francisco in 1852, caring for orphans who lost their parents to the cholera epidemic. Throughout our 162-year history, our programs have evolved to meet the challenges and changing needs of our community. Epiphany Center serves the most vulnerable children and families in San Francisco with holistic care.
Residential Recovery programs serve adult women over the age of eighteen who have substance abuse problems, are home- less, have low educational levels, and severe trauma histories. They may be pregnant, have children newborn to 3 years of age in their custody, or not have children.
The Parent-Child Center provides state licensed therapeutic childcare and early intervention services to infants and toddlers.
Family Treatment provides individual and family therapy to children from infants to 21 years of age.
In-home Services helps prevent the removal of children from their homes and serves families with children newborn to 5 years of age.
Pediatric Clinic is a satellite of San Francisco General and provides well and sick pediatric services for high-risk children.
Epiphany Residential Extension provides clean and sober living for graduates of the recovery program.
Epiphany Center receives funding from county and state agencies with certain portions of its funding originating from the federal government. Additionally, it receives funding from private sources and investment income.
