ABOUT 25% OF PEOPLE DO NOT SMILE IN PHOTOS BECAUSE EMBARRASSED BY THEIR TEETH A new study by Bupa, an international healthcare organization, revealed that 81% of the people they studied felt their teeth looked unattractive in photos. About 28% of the subjects did not smile on social media or on photographs because they felt their teeth were not attractive. The study also indicated that over 40% of the 2,000 subjects studied felt that their smile is the main thing they would like to change about their appearance. Many of the problems with the subjects teeth resulted from decay or gum disease. About half of the people who said that they were ashamed of their smile said they didn't know how to brush properly. Two thirds of the subjects said that they never flossed their teeth, and many substituted chewing gum for brushing their teeth.
