All Abode products are lovingly hand finished, assembled and tested in our factories prior to the journey to the centre of your bathroom and daily life.

Here’s the story behind the name:-

Established in 2002 with a team whose experience spans over 25 years we are a UK based, privately owned company who design and engineer innovative bathroom and kitchen products.

We now manufacture well over half a million products a year, all specifically designed for the UK market.

We work very closely with our network of manufacturing partners to deliver high quality, design leading products, all of which we aim to achieve without the big price tag.

In all our products, we invest in the very best parts and components and are so confident in the quality of our products that they carry a comprehensive five year warranty.

Design innovation is in our blood here at Abode and we are honoured to have had our work recognised through numerous industry awards.

Our thirst for innovation, design, quality and service continues to remain as strong as it did at our company birth so why not come in and take a look, you’ll be pleasantly surprised that beautiful and well manufactured products need not break the bank.

VALVE CARTRIDGES

All Abode car tridge designs are tested for over 200,000 cycles before we will pass them for use within our taps. Why? Well this means that under normal use conditions your tap valves have proven that they will work for many years to come.

wATER EffICIEnCy

We recognise we all have a responsibility to do our bit towards water saving, so we give you the choice to decide what’s best for you. All our products can be either installed with flow restriction valves, therefore regulating the flow to a maximum of 6, 8 or 12 litres per minute or you could choose to opt for a flow restriction aerator which will regulate up to 3.8 litres per minute… the choice is yours.

fInISHInG QUALITy

We use traditional ar tisan hand polishing techniques which ensure perfect blemish free surfaces and crisp edges. Our hand treatment does not end there – we even use hand plating on some ranges. Yes we know it’s more expensive to do it this way, but it means that the finish is richer, the plating deeper and ultimately more durable.

LUXURy PACKAGInG

After taking all this care with the product, we want to ensure they reach you in perfect condition with all the par ts that you will need for a seamless and straightforward installation.

COMPREHEnSIVE wARRAnTy

Such is our dedication and reputation for quality, we offer a comprehensive 5 Year Warranty on all our brassware products. We cover the materials used and valves for 5 years from the date of installation.

GRAVITY FED CYLINDER - VENTED SYSTEM

Most commonly found in older UK housing

• Hot and cold pressures are typically unbalanced (the cold water pressure is higher than the hot)

• Cold water pressure is as per incoming mains

• Hot water pressure (head pressure) is distance ‘a’ in metres divided by 10. For examples if ‘a’ is 1 metre then the hot water pressure is approximately 0.1 bar

• This type of system is generally considered as low pressure

COMBINATION BOILER - UNVENTED SYSTEM

Most commonly found in newer UK houses

• The ‘combi’ boiler is generally located in the kitchen

• Hot and cold pressures are typically almost balanced (the cold water pressure may be marginally higher than the hot)


• Hot water pressure is as per incoming mains but generally reduced slightly due to pressure reducing valves, filters and flow limiters

• This type of system is generally considered as medium - high pressure

PUMPED GRAVITY FED CYLINDER - VENTED SYSTEM

Most commonly found in older UK housing that has been modernised

• Hot and cold pressures are typically unbalanced (depending on the cold mains pressure and the rating of the hot water pump)


• Hot water pressure is as per the pump rating

• This type of system is generally considered as high pressure

PRESSURISED CYLINDER - UNVENTED SYSTEM

Most commonly referred to by the brand ‘megaflo’

• The cylinder(s) can be located anywhere in the house.

• Hot and cold pressures are typically balanced (the hot and cold water pressures are equal)

• Hot and cold water pressure is typically 3 bar (as shown), otherwise the hot and cold pressure will be approximately the same as the incoming mains cold pressure

• This type of system is generally considered as high pressure

To ensure you achieve the best possible performance from your chosen brassware or showering product, you need to be able to identify your existing plumbing system and therefore your water pressure.

The following information provides a general overview on water pressures and a guide to ensure you choose the right product for you and your home.

If you have ‘LOW WATER PRESSURE’ you should take care to choose a product that is suitable, otherwise you might find that the flow rate is poor. It will be difficult to achieve a mixed temperature.

If you have ‘HIGH WATER PRESSURE’ you can choose any product with the same or lower pressure requirement.

As a general guide only, when connecting multiple products you should work to the product with the highest pressure rating.

Throughout our brochure we have highlighted by each product, a simple key outlining whether the product is low pressure (LP), medium pressure (MP) or high pressure (HP) along with stating the minimum pressure required to achieve the best result. The following diagram explains the pressure required for each level.

Please note all products marked LP and MP are also suitable for HP water systems.

In the unlikely event that you should experience any defect in the materials or workmanship of your new Abode product within 5 years of purchase, the purchaser’s sole remedy shall be the replacement (at the manufacturer’s discretion) of all or any par t of the product that is defective. All working par ts and valves are guaranteed for a period of 5 years from purchase. Decorative surface finishes and O-rings are guaranteed for 1 year from the date of purchase provided that our advice concerning care has been observed and no scouring agents have been used. This is provided that the product has been used for normal domestic purposes and that the care, installation and maintenance instructions have been observed. The warranty extends to the original purchaser only.

CUstOMER CAREwater Regulations

All products are designed in accordance with European Water Regulations and are manufactured to WRAS or other applicable European standards. All products should be installed in accordance with Local Water Bye Laws.
