November 2, 2008 To Whom It May Concern – I am writing on behalf of Ms. Faten Abilmona, whom I have known as an IB Arabic Ab Initio, Arabic as a Foreign Language (AFL), and Arabic as a Native Language teacher for three years at the Universal American School of Dubai. An enthusiastic and thoughtful educator, Faten strives to develop her students in the Arabic language so that they are actively able to use that language outside the classroom. Faten works hard in her planning, seeking to always provide students opportunities to develop their skills of transfer, so they can practice their language in new situations. She carefully scaffolds their learning so they will be prepared for ever greater academic challenges. She is an organized professional, who maintains a good attitude and a high quality work ethic. She is a good model of a reflective learner, as she continually reviews her students’ progress and adapts as appropriate to their learning needs. Faten designed the IB Arabic B and Ab Initio courses in cooperation with her departmental colleagues in preparation for IBDP authorization in Spring 2007. She has helped to write the school’s conceptually-based curriculum for Arabic in grades 7-10. She organized the preparation of pre-IB Arabic study guides to be given to students new to the school and the country, so they could prepare for their studies in Arabic as a Foreign Language. Faten has contributed actively to the school’s UAE National Day and International Day celebrations, demonstrating a love of her culture and an appreciation for the culture of others. Faten would be an asset to any school interested in developing their Arabic program. She is an active and positive force in the school community. Dubai Festival City, P. O. To Whom It May Concern –

I am writing on behalf of Ms.

Sincerely
