• History of collaboration – curricular and staff development

• Baccalaureate seen as opportunity to extend collaboration



• Interdisciplinary Project element of Scottish Science Baccalaureate

• Pupils undertake IP in conjunction with university• Range of contextual scientific themes and

pathways identified relating to AH Biology, Chemistry, Computing

• Pupils have support of both school and university, access to facilities of both



• Initial meetings between Education Department & university (December 2008)

• Science Teachers’ Conference (May 2009)• Pupil induction session (June 2009)• Pupil registration (August 2009)• Project supervisor meeting (September 2009)• Project proposal agreed (October 2009)• Interim review (January 2010)• Formal assessment (March 2010)
