ABCollege Elementary and High School Departments win big in the 2015 Division Integrated Competition and DICAA Meet 2015

The Andres Bonifacio College Elementary and High School departments once again proved their might in both academic and non-academic contests by winning big in the 2015 Division integrated Competition and DICAA Meet 2015 held last November 18-20, 2015.The following are the winners from the elementary department: Science Quiz Bee; Grade III, 2nd Place- Theojay Clarence L. Taan and 3rd Place- Stephanie A. Romarate;Grade IV, 1st Place- Ron Mishael P. Patangan and 2nd Place Andrea Viktoria M. Cao; Grade V, 1st Place- Isagani Miguel A. Ranillo and 2nd Place Mumar Anthony L. Unda and; Grade VI, 1st Place Francis Nathaniel L. Alpuerto and 2nd Place- Richard T. Alterado Jr. The students were under the tutelage and guidance of Mrs. Lucille B. Tagulo (Grade III), Mrs. Rothel P. Laranjo (Grades IV and VI) and Miss Glorilie M. Santander (Grade V). Mark Louie M. Tuala, a Grade VI student, also got Third Place in the On-the-spot Painting Contest.Here are some of the winners of the Press Conference 2015 held at Miputak East Central School Covered Court: Reinhold Beckham S. Ortega, Grade VI-Jade student won 2nd Place; Editorial Writing Category (English), Hannah Marie A. Jandonero of Grade VI-Jade got 2nd Place; Science and Technology Category (English) and Halley B. Macute , Grade VI-Jade garnered the 2nd Place on the Photojournalism Category. The ABCollege Elementary 2015 Press Conference contingent is coached by coaches Ms. Garbie C. Cabiara and Mr. Alvin Kim Bulfa.The ABCollege Elementary Soccer team was also declared as the Second Runner Up and Jhunel A. Romero, a Grade V student, clinched the gold medal as Champion in Taekwondo Competition in the 2015 DICAA Meet. On the other hand, the High school departments English and Filipino official publications Blue Quill and Diwang Malaya under the advisory of Mr. Bobeth L. Bandibas and Ms. Suset Nasareth B. Redillas , respectively, garnered some awards in the 2015 Schools Press Conference. The Blue Quills Radio Broadcasting Team dxQB 94.0 FM landed 3rd place in Radio Broadcasting Production and was also given the awards of Best in Infomercial and Best in Scriptwriting. The Radio Broadcasting team composed of students Edward Lloyd L. Quidet, Hillary D. Macute, Erika E. Andrino, Loween Fil A. Rule, Clariza B. Tamonan, Ma. Zeara C. Castolo and Alfonso Adrian P. Amatong.The Diwang Malaya staff won in the following categories: Pagwawasto ng Kopya at Pag-uulo ng Balita( 1st Place- Angelica R. Atopan), Pagguhit ng Kartung Editoryal ( 1st Place- Kristine Angel Sallegue) and Pagsulat ng Balitang Isports ( 3rd Place- Mary Grace P. Magtajas). Its Radio Broadcasting team composed of students Ethel R. Dimacutac (also named as Best Anchor), Haj Michael O. Documento, Claire B. Cuaresma, Kate A. Bandigas, Pamela A. Plogimon, Sean Felix Jakob R. Amatong and Princess Joy A. Bastasa won 2nd place in the Radio Broadcasting Production Category. The publication was also helmed as Best in Science and Technology Page.ABCollege high school contingents dominated the swimming competition on the 2015 DICAA Meet with Richardson Y. Sandueta placing himself on the first place in the 4x100 medley relay, 400m freestyle, 800m freestyle, 200m freestyle, 200m backstroke, 4x50 medley relay categories and second place in the 100m freestyle category. Other winners in the swimming categories include Dean Karlo P. Barbaso (1st place- 100m backstroke, 4 x 100 medley relay, 4 x 50 medley relay, 2nd place- 100m fly, 3rd place- 200m IM), Elijah D. Villamil ( 1st place- 200m fly and 4 x 100 medley relay, 2nd place- 100m backstroke, 200m backstroke and 4 x100 freestyle and 3rd place- 100m fly), Cynon Gregg C. Cainta ( 1st Place- 4 x 50 medley relay and 200 breaststroke, 2nd Place- 100m breaststroke and 4 x 100 freestyle relay) and Leo Francis S. Quicio (1st Place- 4 x 100 medley relay and 2nd Place 4 x 100 freestyle).Students Jann Louis Racelis , Kenneth Lucilla, Matt Bongcawil and Harley Dave T. Ballares clinched the silver medal on the 4x400 relay. Adding to the medal tally were a silver medal and 2 bronze medals by Jann Louis in the 100m Dash and the 10m Hurdle and 200m Dash, respectively and a bronze medal of Kenneth Lucilla in the 100m dash. The table tennis team with students Jim Kelly Erosido, Ricardo Pontanar and John Anthony Kipkip contributed a silver medal while Ricardo Pontanar and Jim Kelly Erosido in the singles division contributed gold and silver medals respectively. Ariel Montero clinched the in the Chess competition and Blache Ortiz got the 2nd Place in the Taekwondo (girls) Category.In the Science Quiz Bee, Anne Margarrete Cabalida (Grade 8) and Maedy Tepacia (Grade 10) were both proclaimed as champions while Douglas Marimon ( Grade 7) and Ma. Zeara Castolo (Grade 9) got second place. Furthermore, Angel Sallegue got 1st place in the on-the-spot Painting contest while students Catherine Tequil (Grade 9),Cherry Joy Bautista (Grade 7) and Kristal Claire Talaboc (Grade 8) got 1st and 2nd Places, in the On-the-spot Collage Making contest, respectively.Mrs. Fatima C. Lombrez, Mr. Ernesto J. Ayawan, Mr. Rhone Gerald A. Draper and Mr. Crispin G. Edolsa coached the swimming, table tennis, athletics, and chess; respectively while Ms. Nia Jean B. Catubig and Ms. Mary Jean B. Catapang coached the Quiz Bee, On-the Spot Collage Making and On-the-Spot Painting. The above winners are qualifiers to the Regional Level Contests in their mentioned events.
