Knowing that the best way to understand a creature is to ‘Be The Creature’, the Kratt Brothers throw themselves into the wild lifestyles of animals. In each episode of this new series, Chris and Martin Kratt actually live with the animals in fascinating and exciting adventures direct from the creature world!

With only minimalist survival gear and their camera equipment, Chris and Martin travel to remote wilderness areas to experience the world as the animals do. They prowl the Amazon's interior as part of a pack of giant otters, they travel through the treetops as the slowest, and least graceful members of a chimpanzee troop. They live like the animals live in order to capture a thrill-charged and experiential view of animal lives that have never been seen before.

Episode 2: Wild Dog - Sunday December 13 at 12:00pm

The Kratt Brothers head to the Okavango to live with one of the most efficient, but least known, super-predators – the African wild dog. Life at the den site with a brand new litter of pups highlights the cooperative spirit in which these dogs divvy up roles. But things get tough for the brothers as they join the hunting party, frantically trying to keep up with the wild dogs as they take down Impala. Even a truck is no match for the ‘machine’ of the hunting pack. After more than a dozen flat tires, a broken windshield and a burst radiator, the brothers take a break from the hunt to embark on a yearling wild dog’s dangerous journey of finding a new pack. But when Chris and Martin return to their home-pack, it has disappeared, chased off by a massive flea infestation.

Richard Hammond's Blast Lab is an entertaining and educational studio-based science game show set in the surreal world of Richard's secret laboratory - found under the watermill of his fictitious country mansion. Richard is assisted by the Lab Rats, along with Ninja Nan, a 70-year-old lady in charge of security and Mini Miss, Richard’s old science teacher from school, who is on hand to help with the experiments in the studio and the lab. This 52-part half-hour series is jam-packed with the most spectacular stunts and awesome experiments you are likely to see this year.

The new ABC TV drama series My Place is the story of the children who live in the very same spot in Australia over 130 years. Opening in 2008 and taking us back to 1888, the series introduces us to 13 kids, all with a talent for some kind of trouble, each hiding up the same old fig tree and each with a story to tell.

The series is based on the acclaimed, multi-award winning children’s book written by Nadia Wheatley and Donna Rawlins in 1988. It is also accompanied by a rich website in which kids and their families can explore the world of the My Place kids and have fun with the history of each decade.

My Place – the series, the website and the book – is a rare kids’ story of Australia.

Bridie just wants to hang out with her big sister Kath and best friend Lorna, and be in on their secrets. After talking her way into tagging along, and wheeling her baby brother in his pram, Bridie sets off for what is meant to be a day of harmless fun and relaxation. It’s 1928.

Bertie steals his friend’s pet rabbit for his magic show he wants to raise money to buy a present for his brother Eddie who’s coming home from the war. It’s 1918.

Episode 11 - Friday, December 18 at 8:00pm

Evelyn can’t wait for cracker night. This year, for the first time, the family has their own box of fireworks. Unfortunately, Evelyn shows the box to her disbelieving neighbour Freddie with explosive results. It’s 1908.
