is a project that will gather representatives of 10 National Youth Councils,

it is dedicated to new activists, employees and volunteers from the national youth councils. Participants representing such a variety of organisations, countries, cultures and points of view will make the seminar a very interesting and intense event. It is prepared to equip partners not only with knowledge but also practical skills connected to structured dialogue and its implementation process. Participants will take part in series of presentations, conversations, workshops and case studies related to youth policy. Each of the NYC will share their experiences and present good practices from their countries. As an effect participants will obtain competences which will help them to be more aware and professional in actions in their countries. Apart from that, participant will prepare recommendations connected to development of youth participation and structured dialogue and send it to the European Youth Forum and European Steering Committee. PS. And there will be time for fun, bit a sightseeing and experiencing rich culture of Polish Tatra

Mountains and Cracow.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

What?

The topic is youth policy of the European Union with special emphasis on structured dialogue. The aim of the seminar is to increase knowledge about the seminar topic, familiarize participants with historical context, future prospects but mainly about EU and member countries current actions targeted to youth.

Where?

Tatra Mountains, Podhale - is Poland's southernmost region, sometimes referred to as the "Polish highlands". The Podhale is located in the foothills of the Tatra range of the Carpathian mountains. The people in this region are particularly famous for their oscypek, a cheese made from a mix of cow's and sheep's milk, their music, dialect and their ski slopes. This is the number one tourist site in Poland.

Who?

Young, involved, happy, energetic people- representatives of 11 countries (Poland, Finland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Romania, Cyprus, United Kingdom, Turkey, Italy, Austria, Slovenia). Volunteer, new activists and employees of the National Youth Councils

When?

4th -11th September 2013

Accomodation

All of the participants will be accommodated together in a hotel with a training room. Special facilities: Swimming pool, sauna, basketball/volleyball field. Accommodation: http://www.weronikazakopane.pl/en/

How to get there?

To get to the venue participants need to arrive to CRACOW (KRAKÓW) first. Plane: Cracow – it is the easiest way course. Katowice Pyrzowice – it is an airport places about 1,5 hour from Cracow with buses going to Cracow every half an hour. Warsaw – participants can fly to Warsaw and ten take a train to Cracow – it takes about 3 hours to get there (with Intercity trains – we wil assist you with choosing a train as there are ones that are slower. Trains and busses: Participants can arrive to Cracow by train to the Central Station.

Getting from Cracow to the venue. At 5pm we will arrange a private bus for you to go to the venue - please do not be late! If some participants will arrive later they will have to take a public bus in the evening – we will help you with that as well and pick you up from the bus stop.

How to prepare yourself?

The Seminar is aim to people who do not have a broad knowledge about youth policy, however it is your task to collect basic information about youth policy in your country. Please prepare information:

- How does the National Youth Council in your country work? (Structure, succeses, challenges) - What are the youth laws and policy of the state towards young people - How is the Strutured Dialogue in your country being condunted.

What to take

Each participant should take: - Clothes for different kind of weather - Comfortable shoes (trekking) - Swimming suite (for Aquapark and hotel pool and sauna)

Each group should take: - Some national snack and drink for a culture’s nights. - Your are welcome to take flags, national clothes, touristic leaflets or whatever will make - culture’s nights more interesting and colorfull

TRAINERS

Seminar will be facilitated by three outstanding young trainers.

Michał Braun - MA on European Politics graduated in the University of Warsaw. Michal Braun for 2 years was leading the National Working Group on Structured Dialogue and was a member of the European Streering Committee. Currently a board member of the Polish Council of Youth Organisations and president of the Regional Volunteer Center. Michał is an ex-Erasmus (Charles University of Prague) he also studies inDenmark (Hadsten Hojskole). He is working as a freelance trainer. Michal worked with children in India, youth in USA and students and prisoners in Bolivia (9-months EVS project). His loves travelling and tries to learn salsa. https://www.facebook.com/michal.braun

Karo Wysocka - a practitioner and promoter of youth participation in public life, a youth policy enthusiast with over 10 years of experience in the NGO sector. Karo used to be active in the European Students Forum AEGEE and represented it in the European Youth Forum, she contributed to building the Polish Youth Council. Her professional experience includes 3 years of working in an international communications agency on coor-dinating projects for European Institutions and a year in the Polish Ministry of Education. Karo was also in-volved in the European Steering Committee for Structured Dialogue -at first as a youth representative and af-terwards as a representative of the Polish Presidency, she coorganised the EU Youth Conference of the Polish Presidency. Currently she works at the Civis Polonus Foundation dealing with civic education of teenagers and supporting municipal youth councils. https://www.facebook.com/karo.wysocka

Kuba Radzewicz - Chairman of the Board of the Polish Council of Youth Organizations, passionate about work-ing with young people and topics involving young people in decision-making processes. A student of sociology in the applied social sciences at the University of Warsaw. He has 21 years, five years ago he became interest-ed in social work. He works in Warsaw Civis Polonus Foundation as a youth coach and coordinator of the pro-ject. The experience gathered in the Youth City Council Starogard and youth council ERB. Linked with the Foundation for the Future Forum. He is active in PROM since 2011, first as a member and coordinator of the working group on youth policy. https://www.facebook.com/kuba.radzewicz

Ewa Babicka is a student of Centre for Europe at the University of Warsaw. She has been engaged in non-governmental sector since two years. In 2011 she was one of the initiators of ,,Quality Energy Starachowice” Associacion (JES) which is youth NGO from the Świętokrzyskie region in Poland. JES is also a member of the Polish Council of Youth Organizations (PROM) and Ewa is one of the Delegates. She works in "Youth policy" team in PROM.
