Following ‘Preparing the tree skirts & stars’ in the Abbey Christmas pattern, make 2 tree skirts and 2 large stars.

Following ‘Cutting & trimming the tall 45° triangles’ in the Abbey Christmas pattern, cut the 2 ¾” strips into triangles for 2 tall trees, same as for the wall quilt.

Following ‘Making the tall tree blocks’ in the Abbey Christmas pattern, make 2 tall tree blocks.

Layout the blocks and squares as shown in the diagram.

Sew the tree blocks together. Press seam allowances open.

Join the 4 squares for the top and bottom of the trees. Press seam allowances all in one direction. Sew to the trees paying careful attention to the order of the squares.Press seam allowances toward the squares.

Join the side squares and press seam allowances all in one direction.

Fuse gold stars to the tops of the trees. Secure the fused stars with a satin, zigzag, or decorative stitch.

Follow ‘Quilting & finishing’ in the Abbey Christmas pattern to complete the quilt.
