Units
• What units does ABAQUS use? ABAQUS has no inherent set of units.• How do I set the units in ABAQUS? You cannot.
• It is the User’s responsibility to use a consistent set of units.• Choose the units for Length and Force• If the analysis is time dependent then select the unit for Time.
• Example : Length – m Structural• : Force - N Analysis• : Time - Sec
Then the units for all the other quantities are derived from it.
• Modulus, stress – Pascals• Density - kg/m3
