Dear Anglers and Participants of the Abaco Beach Blue Marlin Tournament:
This will be the third year with this BIG fi sh, BIG money tournament. In the past two years, we have paid out over $1,000,000 to the boats that have fi shed this event!
The biggest fi sh weighed in was 727 pounds and was caught by the 70' Spencer, Flight Plan. The Marlin was fi lleted and then most of it was smoked by Scott Levin. He then prepared it the next day as: Sashimi, Poke, and Tataki. The smoked fi sh was then was served as a dip and the rest served in sliced chunks. We laid out all of the Marlin at 4 pm in front of the tent and it was all GONE by the time we served the awards dinner.
Some of the real winners of the these tournaments are your friends here in the Bahamas. The economic impact that you all have provided has helped these people recover from the recession that they are still going through on these Bahamian out-islands.
2015 looks to be a great year for boating and fi shing, and we hope everyone has a great time here in the Bahamas. Please do not hesitate to offer your suggestions on how to improve the tournament, the Abaco Beach Resort, or anything else you may encounter while you are in here in the Bahamas. We’ll pass your suggestions along to the people that can make a difference, as we are always trying to improve this event and the amenities that surround us.
Thanks for your continued support,
Skip
Tournament Director, Capt. Skip Smith

Five time zones, two flights and a solid case of jet lag brought Jack Duvall to the Royal Kona Hotel and the beginning of a 7-day fishing journey.

Marlin Magic II, a 54-foot Allied, a cold molded hull similar to a Merritt/Rybovich, is
a solid sea boat and provides plenty of comfort for a fishing party of four, let alone a single angler with an occasional guest. Marlin, being a heavy tackle guy, had five 130’s ready and spooled full with 40 pounds of line at the strike. After a pleasant introduction, I journeyed back to the Royal Kona and the next several days started to come into focus.
My first day on board the Marlin Magic II was like most first Marlin Magic II was like most first Marlin Magic IIdays on a new boat - I hunted for and found a comfortable place to watch the baits, got to know the crew, laid out my gear and basically settled in for the ride. The first 2 days on the water were pretty quiet with an occasional spearfish exciting everyone. By day 3 the bite seemed to improve with an early blue marlin, about 165 pounds, tagged and

Controlling costs is essential for all businesses. Yet most companies have no idea how much they are really spending on document output and data management. The truth is, total cost-of-ownership for copiers and printers is dramatically less today than in year’s past, which means if you’re currently paying on a lease from several years ago, your monthly payment is most likely higher than it would be to upgrade to new technology.
Give DEX the opportunity to examine your office imaging & data management needs. We have sales and service offices all throughout the eastern United States.
