Conference Event Support Opportunities

AAP Community Cares ProjectSupport: $25,000Th is great PR opportunity will allow your company representatives to join the conference attendees, families and guests in donating time to help vitalize the local community. Past projects included painting playground equipment, planting gardens, and sprucing up local parks. Lunch and shuttle transportation is included.

Child Care CenterSingle Supporter: $25,000As an organization dedicated the care of children, the AAP places a high priority on the availability of quality childcare at the National Conference. Th is continues to be a valuable benefi t to our members and makes it possible to those who otherwise would not be able to attend. F. Edwards Rushton, Sr. Endowment CATCH AwardSupport: $2,000Th e F. Edwards Rushton, Sr. Endowment CATCH award is to commemorate the legacy of Dr. Rushton and his impact on the fi eld of community pediatrics. Th e second goal is to promote awareness of the CATCH program at the national level and to pay tribute to CATCH projects.

Critical CareCritical Care Investigator Research AwardSupport: $10,000Honors a new research investigator who has demonstrated a strong aptitude for clinical or basic science research and who presented a sound plan of investigation.

PEMpix Photo Competition AwardSupport: $400Th is competition is designed to foster visual diagnosis of interesting cases in pediatric emergency medicine. Th e winning photo submission receives a $250 award and the audience participant who makes the most correct diagnoses of photos posted and presented wins a $150 cash prize.

Steve Miller Award for Excellence in Education & Mentorship AwardSupport: $500Th is biennial award recognizes an individual who has made substantial educational contributions in pediatric emergency medicine and has impacted education of pediatric emergency providers at a regional, state, national, or international level. Preventing Toxic Stress and Promoting ResiliencySupport: $15,000In 2015, the International Child Health Session, Preventing Toxic Stress and Promoting Resiliency, will bring together pediatric leaders from around the world to address their country’s approach to minimizing the eff ects of toxic stress and promoting healthy development of children. Speakers and participants will discuss available resources and innovative strategies to promote resilience, explore best practices, and identify opportunities for greater collaboration to maximize outcomes for children globally.
