Aan Sinanta

Aan Sinanta conducts exhibitions and seminars on youth empowerment throughout the nation, and has been the recipient of the prestigious “Man of the Year Award” by the Interstate Schools Board. He has been invited to many schools, clubs, and organizations to speak to children and motivate them. He has formulated unique lessons and activities with which he teaches children to stay positive and nourish their minds. But first and foremost, he is a writer who has written numerous books for increasing the confidence of young children. Using his profound imagination, he has come up with interesting stories through which he imparts important life lessons to children.

Growing up in Anchorage, Alaska, his family included his mother, father, two sisters, grandmother, and grandfather. Theirs was a simple close knit family that believed in the values of sharing and caring for each other. He was installed with those same values, and his books reflect that. He has dedicated most of his books to his late grandfather, without whose contribution he wouldn’t have become a writer.

Aside from writing, he also opened another business which is doing very well. He currently lives in Anchorage in the same house where he spent his childhood. Being a loving father, he enjoys spending time with his children. Every year he likes to take them on vacation, and hopes to instill them with the same values that his parents taught him.

In college, Aan Sinanta had no plans of being a writer. He studied World History, and his wife Cathy, whom he met in college, was a biological sciences major. While Cathy was working at her job as an RN, Aan was working at a travel firm. Aan began writing a few years into his job, and his first book was completed in two years. He was inspired to write for children because he believes that they are the future. If nurtured properly, they have the potential to achieve great things.
