About the “Association of Accredited Advisors on Overseas Education (AAAOE)”
About the “International Education Fair”
Message from the President, Mr J.Patel
The last decade saw an overwhelming expansion in the student recruitment industry. Sudden growth in number of consultancies operating with limited infrastructure,
knowledge and willingness to participate in good practice, left a compelling reason on some of the professionals to stand apart.
Dr Paul Chellakumar who's brain child is this association, Mr P. Sreedharan and Mr Vedantham with the support of other senior members made a humble but
determined beginning in 2002. The association has been actively indulging in joint promotions, capacity building, setting standards and promoting good practices. This
national association operates in India with regional chapters and limited memberships by invitation. Our stake holders include students, member and international
universities. It is also our proud privilege to share a good rapport with the media, international trade offices and high commissions.
The International Education Fair aims to
strengthen the profile of studying abroad by
highlighting benefits, clarifying financial matters,
helping students identify courses and
universities, providing information on student
visa and stay back options. This will be an ideal
opportunity for students to interact directly with
representatives of international universities.
It gives me immense pleasure in announcing the 8th series of our “International
Education Fair”. This fair aim to take on some of the challenges we currently face. We
intend to enter and develop new markets, use the media effectively and strengthen the
profile of studying overseas. The promotion plan, the team that is working on the event,
the choice of cities and the efforts leaves no stones unturned.
We request active participation from international universities and together we will make
this a successful event for ourselves.

Visitors Profile
Trichy is a thriving commercial centre and academic hub in Tamil Nadu. The historical city of Tiruchirappalli, popularly known as Tiruchi or Trichy is situated on the banks of the river Cauvery. Trichy is the fourth largest city in Tamil Nadu.
Trichy is the home to some leading educational institutions like National Institute of Technology (NIT, formerly known as Regional Engineering College), Indian Institute of Management, Trichy Campus, SASTRA University and Bharathidasan University.
Madurai District is situated in the South of Tamil Nadu. Madurai is famous for the flower “Jasmine”. The fair in this city will draw students from cities like Dindugal, Kodaikanal Tirunelveli, Nagarcoil, and Tuticorin. It appears that students from these regions have limited exposure on studying abroad.
The Union Territory of Pondicherry (recently renamed as Puducherry) comprises of 4 coastal regions viz. - Pondicherry, Karaikal, Mahe and Yanam. The area of Pondicherry is scattered over three different states in the country – Pondicherry, the capital of the UT is in Tami Nadu, Karaikal region is embedded in the Nagappattinam and Tiruvarur District of Tamil Nadu, Mahe in the west coast of Kerala and Yanam is in Andhra Pradesh.
Vellore is about 130 Kms from Chennai and is the home to Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), an institution know for the quality of higher education courses they deliver. Many students from VIT, go overseas each year to study a master course. Apart there are over 20 engineering colleges and arts, science colleges.
The market profile of the cities such as Chennai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Vizag need no introduction.
Provided below is a brief introduction to some of the new cities in Tamil Nadu that we are trying to develop.
