The A7X, ADAM´s best selling speaker and one of the most balanced and
versatile speakers currently on the market, has been designed with one goal in
mind: To reproduce audio signals as precisely as possible, without beautifying
elements or concealing them.
Besides the capability for neutral reproduction, the need for unique precision
in the higher frequency range becomes immediately apparent with highly
transient, dynamic audio material in particular. The X-ART tweeter, ADAM’s
signature feature, embodies this kind of precision. With a nearly flat frequency
response reaching up to 50 kHz, our proprietary, handmade in Berlin tweeter
sets the standard in terms of transparency and clarity. The worldwide success
of the A7X in the professional audio market is based to a great extent on the
exceptional capabilities of the X-ART tweeter.
Each driver has its own dedicated amplifier. A 50W A/B amp is responsible
for the X-ART tweeter, while the midwoofer is being driven by a 100W PWM
amp. The front panel includes a power switch and a control for the volume that
retains the volume setting independently from the on/off switch. On the rear
panel are several additional controls: a gain for the high frequencies (± 4dB)
and two shelf filters for high and low frequencies.
The A7X‘s translucent sound image, tonal depth and stereo localization inspires
music producers and explains why it is by far the most reviewed and award-
winning monitor in recent years.
