RECREATION OF AN ALBUM

COVER

I picked this album cover because I liked the lighting that

is used and I have always enjoyed Adele's songs.

The album cover is very simple as it only contains her but it is meaningful at the same time.

The use of the black and white filter on the image adds the

feeling of loneliness as if something that she loved has

been taken away from her. The use of the shadows surrounding her conveys the feeling that the

part of her life that has been taken away from her has taken

the colour with it.

ORIGINAL COVER

I recreated this album cover by firstly trying to make myself look like Adele, I did this by wearing a black top and making my makeup

and hair look as much like hers as I could. I then got my mum to position me in the same position as Adele is

in and take the photo for me.

I edited the image on Microsoft PowerPoint as I don’t have

Photoshop on my computer at home. I added two layers of black and

white filters on to the image, the first one was to turn the image from

colour to black and white and the second was to add tone to specific

areas of the face where there is light.
