The survey• The survey consists of 10 questions asking the audience about their opinion

on our music video production, website and digipak now it has been completed.

• I have included multiple choice and long answer questions so I can gain a variety of answers.

• Before taking part in the survey, the person answering the questions has full access to our blogs and film production.

• Each person’s answers were anonymous so we didn’t know who submitted what answer.

• Each person who took the survey fitted the age range of our target audience.

Question 1 Responses

The purpose of this question was to find out the quality of what other people thought our blogs were at. As a group we are pleased that 75% of people who answered the survey think our blogs are of a high standard. If we had received scores below 4. it would be disappointing and we would consider changing the blogs in order to get better reviews.

Question 2 Responses

The website has received a lot of praise from teachers and friends at our school and this has been reflected in the audience survey, with all members taking the survey rating it either a 4/5 or a 5/5 which we are very happy about.

Question 3 Responses

The digipak didn’t receive as good of a response as our other products which is we found surprising. By looking at later questions we might be able to identify reasons how the digipak could have been improved if we were to produce it again.

Question 4 Responses

This question was put in the survey just to see which out of the three products was the most pleasing to the audience. We expected the music video to come out as the most popular as this is the main body of the task.

Question 5 Responses

For this question, we received four positive responses about our blogs which we are really happy about. Our main aim when completing the blog was to make sure that it was interesting and engaging to the audience and with these responses we feel that we have achieved this.

Question 6 Responses

We needed to make all three of our products suit the dance genre as much as possible and this question enabled the audience to give us a response as to whether or not they thought we related it to the dance genre enough or not. The response that we have received has given us the confidence that we have fulfilled our aim of creating products suitable for the dance genre.

Question 7 Responses

The purpose of this question was to enable us to receive information on possible improvements we could make to the music video if we was going to create a similar product in the future, some feedback that we received was that:- we could include more lip syncing shots.- we could have been more calmer with the colour scheme and not make it so ‘loud’. - we could have got more footage from a variety of locations.

We agree with the lip syncing point but feel that a song in the dance genre should be heavily populated with loud vibrant colours in order to conform with the genre stereotype. Also we feel that we did film at a reasonable number of locations for the type of video that we were producing.

Question 8 Responses

The purpose of this question was to enable us to receive information on possible improvements we could make to the website if we was going to create a similar product in the future, some feedback that we received was that:- we could have spread information out more and not bulk up a lot of text on the home page.- we could have used less vibrant colours in order to sustain audience interest. - we could have included more tabs at the side.

We agree with that we should have considered spreading information out more as looking back at the website it could be considered to be crammed. Similarly, to the last question we feel that for a track in the dance genre we needed to use excessively vibrant colours in order to attract the audience, and perhaps we could have spread the tabs to the side to make it look different, which is a point we will consider should we make a similar product in the future.

Question 9 Responses

The purpose of this question was to enable us to receive information on possible improvements we could make to the digipak if we was going to create a similar product in the future, some feedback that we received was that:- the colour scheme could be made more similar to the website and video.- we could have included a creative design on the back cover.

We have taken on board and agree that we could have related the colour scheme to the other products more to encourage continuity and that a more creative back cover could be more appealing to the audience.

Question 10 Responses

This question was made to give us an idea of how good our A2 work was as a whole, we are pleased with the response even though it would have been good to receive a few more ‘5’s’ but as long as we have made an interesting and engaging production for the target audience we have been successful in meeting the aims of the task.
