Dear Engineer,
Every year hundreds of thousands of dollars are lost due to downme brought on by
machine failure, the unavailability of suitable spare components and the failure to
accurately diagnose the real underlying problem.
As you are well aware, there is always the possibility for further improvement. Whether
it is reliability, performance, eciency and upme; you are faced with the perpetual
prospect of moving one step closer to complete perfecon.
For the past fourteen years ROTATE has provided a unique plaorm for the exchangeof experse and experience of the latest innovaons and ideas in rotary machinery.
As the foremost rotang equipment conference in the region, ROTATE is the stage for
you to hear rst hand from the visionaries and pioneering praconers responsible for
innovaons.
The 14th Annual Rotate Conference will explore new, cung edge computaonal and
mechanical soluons that aim to eliminate the occurrence of unplanned downme,
ensure awless performance and 100% eciency.
This year the conference will showcase papers that highlight the latest cung-edge
soluons and pracces. The comprehensive case studies will present the praccal
concerns of the implementaon of these by experts who have already integrated them
into their systems.
At the end of the conference you will gain insight and informaon that serve to
signicantly improve the funconing of your system, such as:
Ulisaon ofCFDs to opmise performance and reduced downme
Radically improving reliability in rotang equipment with the implementaon ofdrygas soluons to cut costs
Opmising eciency through the implementaon ofretrot technology
The latest updates in vibraon analysis that allows one to foresee future problems andavoid unplanned downme
Diagnosing the root cause of mounng resonance on motor performance to prevent
frequent failures
ROTATE 2010 will also give you the rare opportunity to meet those with the most current
informaon and relevant experience - your peers. Interact with praconers from
across the industrial spectrum at networking sessions where you can discuss your most
pressing concerns and share insight and understanding into the best possible soluons.
The ROTATE 2010 is the ideal plaorm for the exchange of ideas and experse involvingrotang equipment and valuable networking opportunies.
I look forward to welcoming you to Abu Dhabi in December.
Yours Sincerely,
Genelee MazarelloConference Director

IntroduconMany maintenance personnel rely on oil analysis in addion to
vibraon analysis but invariably rely on the laboratory to provide the
feedback, including the recommendaon on what acon to take.
However, most maintenance personnel are in a beer posion to make
the decisions, but are oen concerned that they dont understand the
oil analysis report. Because the people on site have a much beer
understanding of the machinery and its reliability history, decisions and
acons on the oil analysis reports are best taken by those very same
people, rather than the personnel employed in remote laboratories
who dont always have that hands-on experience. An oil analysis
report is very easy to understand and this workshop will show you
how to break the report into easy to comprehend chunks, along with
guidance on how to establish limits for each measured parameter of
the analysis report.
Topics Covered In The Workshop: The importance of a good oil analysis programme, including the need
for good sampling pracces
How to break the report in to 3 easy secons for quicker
interpretaon
What each reported value means
The potenal impact of each test value has with respect to the
lubricant and the machine
What limits to set for each oil analysis test
How to make meaningful recommendaons to maintenance
colleagues based on the oil analysis report Steps to improve your oil analysis programme going forward
At The End Of The Workshop You Will Be
Able To: Easily understand all the reported values in an oil analysis report
Feel more comfortable about the results and whether they are
within limits
Determine whether you are geng adequate test coverage on each
type of machine
Be able to talk more condently with your oil analysis service
provider about the services they are oering
Adjust your exisng oil analysis alarms and limits on your crical
plant to ensure earlier warning of impending problems
Implement future steps to get more out your oil analysis
programme
