Project Write Up
The project is to make Fit sample & Development sample of denim pant. The aim of this project is too familiar with different stages of product development. We think that we are successful of achieving those aims of this project .We done trend analysis of previous 11 years & predict about the upcoming trend of 2016 of denim pant .Then we also make customer profile in which customer age range is 24 to 40.We worked on design development to make denim pant. We are helped a lot by many persons directly involved in RMG industry. Our honorable teacher also supports us all the time to make this project successful. We collect fabric, trims and accessories from different buying house & Industry. After making the garment we have also done industrial washing & finishing. For documentation purpose, we make spec sheet, Technical spec sheet, trim card, consumption & costing sheet, different test report of fabric & trims. We also analyze the fit sample & give comment about quality, fit & design .We also takes comment from our honorable teacher. Then we make revised spec sheet for making development sample .After making development sample & all other document now we are ready to submit our successful project.

The Formula is : ( Length X Width ) X No of panel / ( Fabric Width X36 inch ) + Wastage Percentage= Result Calculation: - In HereTotal Bottom Length = Inseam + Back rise + Wbw + Sewingallowance.( Wbw =West band width )Total Bottom Width = 1/2 Thigh +2 Sewing allowanceSo, Length = 32+11.5+ 1.5 *2 +3 = 46.5Inch. Width = 9.5 +2 =11.5 InchSay the actual Fabric Width is 58 inch, but when sewing a garmentsas we can,t use the edge of a fabric , so at the time of calculation wemust deduct 1 Inch from the fabric width . I.e. fabric width will be57 Inch.Now the Applicable Formula :-( Length X Thigh ) * 4 part /( Fabric Width X 36 inch)= Result + Wastage= Result for 1 Pc X12 pcs= Yds / DozBased on above information we foundMain Fabric Consumption :- {(46.5 Inch X 11.5 Inch) X 4 Pcs} /(57 inch X36 Inch) + Wastage 10% =( 2139 square inch / 2052 square inch )+ 10% Wastage = {1.04 Yds +0.052(Wastage)} = 1.144 ydsBack Pocket Consumption = {(6.75X 5.5) X 2 pc} / (57 X 36)+10%wastage =74.25 /2052 +10%wastage =.036+.0018 =.0396 ydsBelt loop Consumption ={ (1.5X .75) X 6 pc} / (57 X 36)+10%wastage =6.75 /2052+10%wastage =.004yds Total Fabric needed for 1 pcs denim pant=1.144 yds +0.0396 Yds+.04 Yds = 1.2236 Yds /pcsTotal Fabric needed for 1 dozen denim pant=14.68yds/dznFor Pocketing Fabric :- Length =9inch X 2 Ply +1 inch (SA ) = ( 18+1) inch = 19inch Width = 5.5 inch X 2 Ply + 1 inch (SA ) = 12 inchPocketing fabric consumption= ( 19 inch X 12 inch )2 pcs /(43 inch X 36 inch) = 456/1548 =.29+10% wastage =.32 Pocketing fabric consumption =0.32X 12 Pcs =3.84 Yds Per dznSo, based on above measurement we need13.84Yds main fabric & 3.6576 Yds pocketing .Consumption of piping fabric= 8*2*2/43*36+10%wastage =.021*12=0.252yds/dzn
