EXPLORICA SUMMER ACADEMYExplorica’s three-week travel, study, and volunteer programs for

high-school students let you explore your world with confidence.

Travel to amazing international destinations where you can expand

your mind studying foreign languages, working with volunteer

organizations, or just visiting the sights with other high-school

students eager to see the world. Our programs are designed to

combine structured class time with enough free time tomake sure

you get themost from your trip.

This summer, build your cultural awareness, learn new skills, and

make new friends with Explorica Summer Academy.

“Initially, I saw Explorica Summer Academy as theperfect opportunity for cultural immersion in aSpanish-speaking country. And while this globaldesire was achieved through intensive studies ata local university, I found that my trip to Marbellaamounted to so much more than an improvementto my Spanish speaking skills. The friends I made, the historical sites I visited, and the activitiesI pursued all contributed to the unimaginable waysin which I changed internally. I returned home witha new perspective on communicating with others, taking risks, and enjoying life.”

WHO WE AREWith amanagement teamwith over 150 years of industry experience, Explorica has been

offering high-quality, road-tested educational tours to teachers and students for years.

Our Summer Academy programs grew out of the conviction that students should have

the opportunity for in-depth cultural exploration outside the classroom. Through

international travel, volunteer and language-study programs, and interactions with

other students from around the country and around the world, our programs give

high-school students an outstanding chance to expand their minds as they explore

their world.

\ “I can’t think of any better way to have spent threeweeks of my summer than traveling in Spain withExplorica. Every little detail was taken care of, andthe itinerary was packed with tons of things to see,but we also had the right amount of free time toenjoy the destinations in our own way. The chaperoneswere always going above and beyond to organizeoptional activities for us, even a day trip to Moroccowhich I will never forget. I had so much fun, I almostdidn’t realize how much I learned!”

“The summer that I took the Exploricatrip was a busy one. It was a graduationgift from my parents right before I wasabout to go to a big university. The triptaught me about different cultures andforced me to step outside my comfortzone at times, helping me to growculturally and better preparing mefor college.”

“I knew we made the right choice sending our daughteron this trip as soon as we heard from her. Not only didshe say she was having an amazing time, but it was themost elated tone of voice we ever heard! This programwas wonderful. Each site they visited was more interestingand beautiful than the next. We know that because wefollowed along through the tour diary. And the Spanishclasses made it a perfect mix of education and entertain-ment. It was an experience that will last her a lifetime!”
