Clinch 3rd Place at St. Agnes Invitational

On Thursday August 29, 2013, 55 Cross Country runners represented Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic School at the St. Agnes Invitational in Key Biscayne to kick off the season. All 55 runners finished the race very strong, and several Cheetahs were in the top 10 and awarded a medal.

In the Primary Boys division (1 mile run), Adam Magoulas (4th grade) finished 1st overall and Joshua Kunkel (2nd grade) finished 5th overall. The Primary Boys team also finished 3rd overall in the meet. In the Cheetahs Primary Girls team, Daphney Lagroue (2nd grade) finished 6th overall. In the Junior Varsity boys division (1.5 miles), Adam Magoulas (4th grade) finished 4th overall, and Michael Sanchez (5th grade) finished 7th overall. In the Junior Varsity Girls division, Danielle Martinez (5th grade) finished 6th overall.

RESPECT LIFE MINISTRY

The Church always designates the month of October as Respect Life month and October 6th as Respect Life Sunday.

Our Lady of the Lakes Parish participates in the Baby Bottle Campaign on the

first two weekends of October. We will distribute Baby Bottles on Saturday, October 5th and Sunday, October 6th after all of the Masses in the patio area of the Church. We ask you to return the Baby Bottles on Saturday, October

12th and Sunday, October 13th in the patio area of the Church.
