A way to predict and to encourage ethics during the selection process
The Project
Seminar on Integrity and Ethics in Public Administration and Management of Human Capital
Mexico City, 14th October 2008 Selection and Induction Office
Ethics and selection
Is it possible to select the right people in order to avoid future behaviour not in line with the organization values?
What could we expect from the selection process?
Ethics and selection
We can’t predict human behaviour as we deduce theorems from axioms…
…SO…
…in an organization unethical behaviour will always exist and we always need to control and to sanction them…
…BUT…
Ethics and selection
…it is possible during the selection process:
• to assess the candidates’ aptitude in order to reduce significantly the future behaviour not in line with the organization values
• to encourage positive behaviour
Ethics and selection
• Application form (to predict)
