First, the family walks into the supermarket. Then Francisco gets a shopping cart. Next, Mrs. Garcia reads the shopping list. She tells Maria, “Buy two tomatoes.” She tells Mr. Garcia, “Get six onions. Don’t forget the bread.” After that, Mr. Garcia and Maria get the groceries. The shopping list is very long!

And connects two sentences with similar ideas. The sentences can be positive or negative:
