Usability & Preferences (1)

Should basic search default to full text only?
Should advanced search default to all results?

Usability & Preferences (2)
• We also asked them about their visual preferences in Library Plus
Should full text icons be standardised or left the
same?
If standardised, what should they be called?
Should we adopt a colour scheme for easy
definition?
Should we have an icon for records where no full text is available?

Default or Standardised
Styles?

What We’re Learning
• Two systems can work independently of one-another and together
• Shared understanding of systems administration helped to manage colleagues’ expectations
• Improvements for Library Plus feed back into the work on Discover
• Improvements enable us to showcase resources and make them more accessible to students
Not what we’ve learntBut what we’re
learning!
