SECTORS OF SECTORS OF PRODUCTIONPRODUCTIONThe main sectors of production that are looked for by the people

from the county of Iasi are: logistics, commerce, garment industryand civil engineering. From commerce the most required jobs arechefs, waiters and computer operators and from civil engineering arebricklayers and house painters. The sectors of logistics and garmentindustry include all types of employers.

NUMBER OF EMPLOYEESNUMBER OF EMPLOYEESThe employment centre from Iasi has an authorization of 35

different types of jobs from the job market and in 2010 we managedto qualify a number of 1500 people , the main domain being logistics, commerce, and civil engineering. The unemployment rate inJanuary 2011 was 6,85% with a total number of 21050 unemployers,10736 coming from the private sector.

LOCATIONLOCATIONMost of the economical agents start their business in the urban

areas( cities, towns) where they have a great number of customers

but some international economical agents that make products for

the European market, set their business in the peri-urban areas

where the land is cheaper. For example, Delphi Diesel System

Romania set their business in the peri-urban area of Iasi but they

provide transportation to all their employers.

LANGUAGESLANGUAGESThe most reqiured language is English, but in same cases

other languages are required too: French or German.

IT SKILLSIT SKILLSNowadays, almost all the companies require their employers to

have IT skills because everything is connected more or less to

technology. The sectors which are most required in our region, civil

engineering( brick layers, house painters) and garment industry do

not require IT skills. This chapter is a very important one as it

became a compulsory subject in the Bacalaureate(School Leaving)

Exam.

EXPERIENCEEXPERIENCEMost of the time the experience is crucial but there are a lot of

companies that invest a lot of money and time in qualifying their

staff. The pupils that graduate a vocational or a technical school get

their experience in schools and most of the time they are hired

based on their experience from school.

FINANCIAL SUPPORT, FINANCIAL SUPPORT, WAGESWAGES

The wage depends on the type of job, national or international

companies and the position you apply for. Most of the time companies

offer the minimum wage(700 RON) or the medium wage(1400 RON ). Of

course, as the time goes by and you get more experience, there are

chances of promotion and a raise as well.
