Leader: Our faith depends upon the grace of God.

People: Praise the Lord, who gives life to the dead.

Leader: Jesus calls us to be his disciples.

People: We take up the cross to follow him.

PRAYER OF APPROACH

Almighty God, whose Son was revealed in majesty before he suffered death upon

the cross: Give us faith to perceive his glory, that we may be strengthened to bear

our cross, and be changed into his likeness, from glory to glory; through Jesus

Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one

God, now and forever. Amen.

Leader: Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were

baptized into his death?

Leader: Trusting in God’s grace, let us confess our sin.

Gracious God, our sins are too heavy to carry, too real to hide, and too deep to

undo. Forgive what our lips tremble to name, what our hearts can no longer bear,

and what has become for us a consuming fire of judgment. Set us free from a past

that we cannot change; open us to a future in which we can be changed; and grant

us grace to grow more and more in your likeness and image; through Jesus Christ,

the light of the world.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

NEXT SUNDAY, March 15, our guest preacher is Guy Dunham. The Celtic

Ensemble will play for the 11:00 a.m. service

AED TRAINING -- On Sunday March 15th, the ushers will be trained on how to use

the AED device housed in the usher's room in the rear of the sanctuary. Beth Magid will

conduct the training from 10:00 - 10:45, between services, down in the fellowship hall.

Members of the congregation are welcome to attend. A new device will be purchased

within the next year and an additional training will be held at that time.

NOAH (NOT OLD AT HEART) -- The March Noah Luncheon will be held on

Thursday, March 12 at 12:30 in the Fellowship Hall. We will be serving Turkey and

Waffles, mashed potatoes, a vegetable and a special dessert. There will be a piano and

singing duo of a couple from Lancaster who will entertain us with American music

through the ages including Broadway tunes. Please make your reservation by calling

Kay Matunis at (717) 755-6321 by 7 p.m. today. We hope to see you there!

THE ANNUAL EASTER EGG HUNT will be held on Saturday, April 4th, at

10:00 a.m. Donations are needed! Please place all donations (wrapped candy, stickers,

tiny egg-sized toys) in the basket at the back of the sanctuary. There will be music, story

time, the egg hunt, prize bags for the kids and the Easter Bunny. Church volunteers are

needed the day of the event to hide eggs, greet families and guide children to find the

eggs. Thank you all for your support again this year!

EASTMINSTER’S PICTORIAL DIRECTORY PHOTO SESSIONS -- Did you miss the November photo sessions for the new pictorial church directory? You

weren’t happy with your photo from that session? Good news! A second photo session

for the new pictorial directory has been scheduled for March 23, 2020, from 1 pm to 8

pm and March 24, 2020, from 12 pm to 7 pm. A sign-up sheet is posted in the Narthex.

You should allow about an hour for the complete photo process from registration to

photo review.

Volunteers are also needed to help register and host the photo sessions. If you have an

hour or so to volunteer, note your name and the date/time you’re available on the

Volunteer Sheet. Contact Ann Bowman at 717-495-5099 with any questions you might

have.

RISE AGAINST HUNGER SIGN UP SHEET -- April 19th will be here before

we know it, so please sign up as soon as you can so we are sure to meet our goal of 50

volunteers! There is a place to indicate the desire to have a bag lunch. If you are willing

to help carry the supplies in and the filled boxes out, please put an asterisk by your

name! All ages are welcome, as there are tasks for everyone – even if you are unable to

stand for long periods of time. Thank you for your participation for this very meaningful

and inspiring event.
