A holistic overview of my work
• Basic (i.e. theoretically-driven) applied psychological research at the interface of cognitive and industrial, work and organizational psychology (see, e.g., Hodgkinson, 2003, Special issue of Journal of Occupational & Organizational Psychology)
• Two major aspects:– Development and evaluation of methods to operationalize the
notion of mental representations in organizational research (e.g. Clarkson & Hodgkinson, 2005; Hodgkinson et al, 2004, Organizational Research Methods)
– Applications of such methods for the advancement of fundamental knowledge and intervention (e.g. Hodgkinson et al., 1999, Strategic Management Journal)
Overview of 4 selected projects
• Images of Competitive Space (Hodgkinson, 2005)
• Investigation of scenario planning workshops (Hodgkinson, Chattopadhyay & Healey)
• Mental representations of information and IT risks (Coles & Hodgkinson)
• In Search of Strategic Knowledge (Clarke, Hodgkinson & Pruyne)
