CONCRETE SILAGE “L” WALLSMoveable, concrete retaining L walls have a wide range of uses for all levels of industry and civil works. Their fexibility and diversity make them an attractive alternative to standard fixed walls.

The stand alone L wall is suitable for the following applications:

• Silage walls

• Storage of compost

• Storage of agricultural products

• Split level driveways/gardens

• Retention of soil banks

• Storage of building materials i.e. sand, stone

• Storage of recyclables materials

BUNKER WALLSBunker walls are the most effective large volume storage systems available. An excellent way to contain and store materials such as feed, sand, gravel, scrap metal, recycling.

These double load bearing walls incorporate forklift recesses in the base to facilitate repositioning, allowing you to change widths of bays in line with your business demands or crop yields.

Walls up to 2.5 meters and 3.0 meters may need to be bolted down when retaining material. This includes grain, solid fuels, recycling materials, wood chip, and scrap metal.

The unique curved shape has been developed to allow the free flow of material to the floor with a 100mm straight portion at the bottom edge to aid the removal of material from the floor.Another feature of the bunker wall is the narrow base, this minimising its footprint.

ENVIRONMENTAL & RENEWABLE ENERGY


SEPTIC TANKS


We provide quality septic tanks built to specifications for construction on both commercial and residential projects.

• Small domestic septic tank.

• 2500 litres capacity.

• Designed for occupancy for 6PE.

• Comes fitted with seals on inlet and out lets.

• Can be fitted with a small excavator where site access may be an issue.

• It can also use as an add on tank to your existing septic tank.

• This tank has also many uses ranging from water storage or farm yard run off.

• EN Certified 12566-1.

• Manufactured from 40N 10 Certified concrete EN 206.

• Achieve the required EN 12566-1 effluent quality without the use of an internal septic tank filter.

• Designed for occupancy of 8PE.

• Has water tight seals on inlets and outlets that are cast into the tank during manufacturing.

• Designed for shallow dig 1.5 meter or less.

• Designed so a small excavator can lift the tank. This is important for retro fits with legacy issue sites where access by truck etc. will be an issue.

• Inter locking risers can be supplied with concrete lids.

General notes on our large tanks:

• Precast concrete tanks are designed to comply with all relevant current European Standards.

• Concrete strengths are 50N minimum unless otherwise stated.

• The tank is typically placed on a 50mm sand bed.

• Concrete tanks generally can be backfilled with excavated material and there is generally no requirement for concrete backfilling, resulting in considerable cost savings.

• All tanks come standard with a 100mm PvC inlet.

• Tank is placed witha truck crane provided adequate access is available.

Valves are provided with every bottom and top fill troughs from Murphy Precast.

The valves are designed specifically for Murphy Precast products and produced from non-corrosive plastic.

PVC on line taps are fitted to all troughs, top and bottom fill troughs. By having an on line tap fitted to your valve, it helps the user to manage the water supply to each trough more efficiently.

The PVC taps are made from PVC plastic and are non-corrosive. The tap thread size is ¾” female on both sides.

The superior valves and taps are bought in from our supplier in New Zealand. Additional valve and taps are subject to a follow on cost.

WIDE U FEEDERWide U feeder trough are designed to feed livestock from both sides. Best used in wintering yards or where space may be at a minimum.

ROUND TOP L FEEDERRound Top “L” feeder are designed for where a passage way may be narrow as it has a vertical back unlike other types of feed troughs that may lay back into the passage way it also comes in 3.3 meter lengths.

Our precast concrete feed troughs, which can be used in conjunction with a diet feeder encourages the animal to eat the whole diet mix, this helps increasing performance and providing a cost effective way of feeding. Feeding arrangements can be made to suit your individual requirements from single sided feeding to double sided feeding.

FOOT BATHS

The Foot-bath product has arrived as a solution to a problem with the threat of Mortellaro in herds at present. Cows are walking more and further to paddocks, this can cause lameness. This can affect the milk yield of any one cow and therefore effect the bottom line for the farmers income.

FEATURES:• Made from 40N concrete - very hard

wearing.

• Level platform inside and outside

(No stepping down into footbath).

• Two large wash outlets on both sides.

• Fixed bolt holes for side barrier.

BENEFITS:• Assist in the prevention and treatment of

hoof diseases and lameness.

• Reduce the spread of infection.

• Reduce solution waste.

By putting cows through a daily foot-bath

solution farmers can reduce infection

where (Mortellaro) hoof infection has

become very common within the herd.

Cows don’t like stepping down, it makes

them nervous and if they are nervous

there is more dunging. This is where a

cow will not place the hoof fully into

the solution, one of the reasons this can

happen is when you have a plastic foot-

bath they have a uneven surface and they

can move from under the animal and can

also make noise which makes the animal

nervous. The concrete Foot- bath removes

this issue and proves a better option.
