Quilatan, 3rd Year SOH Central Board Representative Whereas, the Sanggunian is founded on the principles of representation, participatory democracy, accountability, decentralization, consultation, and efficient and effective service towards the holistic formation of the Atenean; 1 Whereas, last February 26, 2015, Ateneo COMELEC released the official results of the 2015 Sanggunian General Elections to the Loyola Schools student body; 2 Whereas, the position of president was unable to reach the quota of 3255 due to receiving only 3128 undergraduate student votes 3 resulting to a failure of elections and consequently, a vacancy in the position of the President; Whereas, the Sanggunian recognizes that certain presidential functions, such as being the official spokesperson of the Sanggunian at any function, meeting, or assembly and to preside over the meetings of the Central Board, are necessary for the continued functioning of the institution; 4 Whereas, the President is the official spokesperson of the student body in the following Loyola School committees: School Council, School Forum, and Administrative Council; Whereas, the Sanggunian recognizes that all the elected Central Board representatives are first time Central Board members and have no experience in presiding over Sanggunian meetings as well as performing representative functions required in the aforementioned Loyola Schools Committees; Whereas, Luis Miguel N. Resolution to Define and Appoint the Sanggunian Coordinator

A resolution to create the position of the Sanggunian Coordinator, to define the roles of the

Whereas, the Sanggunian is founded on the principles of representation, participatory democracy,

Wherefore, be it resolved that there shall be a Sanggunian Coordinator who is to handle select

administrative and representative functions that the Sanggunian requires, as well as to serve as the

main presider of meetings in the Central Board;

Wherefore, be it further resolved that the Sanggunian Coordinator is not the President, nor a

member of the Central Board, and as such does not have certain powers and responsibilities that the

President and the official elected Central Board Representatives possess, which will be defined as

follows:

Wherefore, be it further resolved that the administrative functions assigned to the Sanggunian

Coordinator do not involve functions such as Central Board agenda setting, voting power, and calling

meetings;

Wherefore, be it further resolved that the decisions and stands brought out by the Coordinator, as

well as any official event, is subject to the approval of the Central Board;

Wherefore, be it further resolved that the Sanggunian Coordinator will be appointed to the following

Loyola School committees as a representative: School Council, School Forum, and Administrative

Council;

Wherefore, be it further resolved that the term of the Sanggunian Coordinator will last from the

approval of this resolution until the induction of any Top 4 Officer that is elected through Special

Elections;

Wherefore, be it further resolved that the Sanggunian Coordinator shall transition all relevant files

and information to the respective successors to the Loyola Schools Committees that he handles;

Wherefore, be it further resolved that with a unanimous vote from the Central Board, Luis Miguel N.

Del Rosario shall be appointed as the Sanggunian Coordinator;

Wherefore, be it further resolved that Luis Miguel N. Del Rosario will still continue his duties as SOSE

Chairperson, while holding the position Sanggunian Coordinator, in order to fulfill his mandate as

the elected SOSE Chairperson;

Wherefore, be it finally resolved that, with the approval of the Central Board by a majority vote, this

resolution shall take effect immediately.
