Purpose

To provide civil liability coverage not provided under the

Volunteer Service Act

PROGRAM RULES

• Retired Dentist trained in General Dentistry• State of Alabama License• Minimum number of CE hours prescribed by

licensing board• Volunteer at a Free Clinic a minimum FOUR

hours per month; maximum THIRTY-TWO hours per month

• Free Medical Clinic – Code of Alabama 1975• Provide treatment, diagnosis and advice

without a fee or compensation• Limited to care that does not include the use

of general anesthesia or require an overnight stay in a health care facility

• Coverage runs January – December 31st for one year

• New application required after December 31st

• Coverage is free to retired volunteer
