A Presentation on New Day for Morgan StanleyMarch 31, 2011

• Hong Kong registered non-profit, non-governmental organisation (NGO)

What is New Day ?

• New Day is funded by:

On-going monthly contributions by our members

Individual one-off donations

Corporate donors

• Focus is on assisting women and girls in crisis situations across Asia by providing funds to implement programs which will meaningfully impact their lives.

Our mission

New Day is a non-profit organization, established as a donor circle, dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls in crisis throughout Asia.  Our focus is on “engagement” where membership has the unique ability to select and implement grass roots projects and become more intimately involved in the lives of the individuals we are impacting.  Our methodology is intended to create a bridge between New Day members and the communities that we support, thus creating greater awareness of the issues impacting women in crisis in Asia.

Our story

• founded by Hong Kong couple Chris and Liza Green

• conceived as a donor circle of like-minded Hong Kong residents who wanted to

– donate funds to grassroots projects in a direct and impactful way

– learn more about issues affecting women and girls in Asia and

– Become directly involved in project selection.

• focus on women and girls– who are too often the victims of the

dark underside of poverty in the region

– who, with economic support, are capable of lifting themselves and family out of abject poverty

What do we spend the money on?

• Projects that rescue and shelter women & girls in crisis or at risk

• Projects that help women and girls through education & economic empowerment

Projects must:

be located in Asia

be targeted

investments for long term impact

assist grassroots operations

provide ongoing feedback

New Day is many things to its Members

Provides members a conduit to:• donate funds in a direct and

impactful way to grassroots projects

• become more involved and informed about the projects we support and volunteer on site visits

• Assist in the running of all small charity through volunteering – New Day is all volunteer driven

Sourcing projects

New Day sources projects in several ways, but always allows (encourages) the membership to bring projects to the Working Committee for approval 1.Independent Projects

• New Day members directly source and propose projects (eg. LOVEQTRA, China)

2.Partner Projects•New Day sources projects through established foundations•We utilize their network to locate and manage projects•We leverage off their existing infrastructure to assist in implementing the projects•Examples: ADM Capital Foundation
