Class Description

You’ll love this spacious organizer with a padded handle and lots of zippered pockets to hold everything you need — sewing machine accessories, tools, and more. A double-slide zippered closure provides safe, secure storage and easy access.

Removable zippered dividers in a variety of styles hold all your sewing supplies, eectronic gear, or other treasures.

Learn easy techniques for quilting with Soft and Stable, sewing on vinyl, installing zippers, and binding as you make the case.

Class Supply List

In this class we will make the organizer. You will need the following supplies in class:

A Place for Everything pattern

Fabric and supplies as listed on pattern cover (see next page)

Thread to match fabrics

I recommend , a 50 wt. spun polyester or Aurifil 50wt. for this project.

ALSO BRING TO CLASS:

Sewing machine in good working order with walking foot, 1/4" foot, and zipper foot. If you have a Teflon foot for your machine, bring it, too, to facilitate stitching on the vinyl.Don’t forget the extension table for your machine.

Rotary cutter and rulers

Basic sewing kit, including #90/14 topstitch needles*, Wonder Clips*, a stiletto*, pins (the large yellow-topped quilting pins work best), scissors, thread, chalk marker* or similar tool for marking lines, washable school glue stick, etc.

*all supplies available to purchase in class. Patterns must be purchased at OUAQ.

BEFORE CLASS:

To make best use of class time, please cut out the fabric pieces and quilt the fabric pieces according to the instructions on page 2 of the pattern BEFORE coming to class. Please complete ALL the steps on page 2 before class.
