Term 3 Weeks 4-5 meet with Team Leader (complete proforma) Weeks 5-6 prepare presentation VISION The implementation and application of a'best practice' model of writing instruction in all classrooms P-6 GOALS AND TARGETS • to improve the explicit teaching of writing. • to improve student learning achievement in Literacy -Writing. • to increase the proportion of students achieving at or above the expected level in each cohort as they progress through the school in writing. *VELS - Year 2 90% at or above appropriate level *VELS - Year 4 80% at or above appropriate level *VELS - Year 6 80% at or above appropriate level *NAPLAN - Year 3 mean 2.5 *NAPLAN - Year 5 mean 3.0* PRACTICE Every classroom will reflect all elements of a'best practice < model of literacy (Writing) learning and instruction - Writing PD Stephen Graham The daily 2 hour literacy block will incorporate one hour of writing.
