A Note from the Principals
Dear Parents and Guardians, As we pause this Thursday to give thanks to God in a special way, we call to mind and remember in pray-er, all who support our school. We are grateful for: our pastors, who provide financial support, wisdom, and their pastoral presence.; our Board of Limited Jurisdiction who, with the pastors, advance the mission of our school; our teachers, who work tirelessly to provide the best in Catholic education and support their students in innumerable ways; our administrative staff, who attend to the infinite tasks of keeping the school running smoothly with competence and good humor; our auxiliary staff who serve the break-fasts and lunches, staff the library and keep the school clean; our Catapult staff who assess, counsel and tutor our children; and our volunteers in the offices, cafeteria, classrooms and field trip chaperones. We are grateful for our students, for without them we would not have a school. Every day they bring light, laughter and joy to the school, and challenge us to serve as role models of faith, love and hope. Lastly, we are grateful for our parents and guardians, without whom we would cease to exist. Your choice to send your children to HFRCS, your financial sacrifices, your volunteering– in the school, for Home and School, in classrooms, and on committees; and for all the support and kindnesses you show our staff each and every day. We extend our heartfelt wishes for a Happy Thanksgiving to all our families. May God bless you abun-dantly!
More Thanks! Thank you your support of the Hawk Walk and the Thanksgiving Food Drive. Your generosity is deeply ap-preciated. Details of these events will be in the November 29th newsletter. Mrs. Robinson Mrs. Haggerty

An interview with Ms. Haneman, Holy Family’s Music Teacher
Q - What inspired you to be a teacher? A - My mom was a preschool teacher and when we were little and had days off from school, my broth-
er and I would go into her school and help her. I loved playing with the three year olds, and helping them make crafts and other projects. I continued to volunteer through high school. When I was in third grade, I started taking flute lessons and had great music teachers who fostered my love of music. I knew from an early age I was going to be a music teacher.
Q - What do you hope to achieve as a teacher?
A . I hope to share my love of music with others while helping them find their own love of music. As I
tell the students, music is everywhere. We listen to it on the radio, phones, in commercials and televi-sion shows, and even playing in the stores over the loudspeaker. I want them to be able to appreciate all different styles of music.
Q - What do you do when you are not teaching?
A - I like to spend time with my family and friends. I like to go running and biking; and if I can find the
time, I like to read mostly fiction and mysteries.
Please consider joining us for these events. Gwyn Rivells passed away in the summer of 2015; please help us honor her memory and generous spirit! Gwyn was a member of our second graduation class and attended Conwell-Egan High School; her brother Joey graduated from Holy Family in 2016 and Ryan is currently in Mrs. Hamilton’s third grade class.

giftfromgwyn.org for more information and online registration.
If you are not able to attend Run for Gwyn, we will be having a “Purple Out” $1 Dress down day on Wednes-
day, Nov 30th.
Caroling for Gwyn: December 9, 2016 at 4:30 . This is open to students in grades 3-7. We will carol through Forsythia Gate and Red Rose Gates. Donations
will help to provide a Queen of the Universe family with their Christmas shopping! Please email Eileen
Doyle if your child would like to participate ([email protected]).
Parents are welcome to join us; your clearances will need to be up to date.
