Volume 4 Issue 9 www.bisonpride.us Newsletter For Parent s May 2015 A Note from the Principal Another year has nearly come and gone and May is packed with several fun-filled activities and celebrations. Summer school will begin Monday, June 1 and continue through Friday, June 26. Summer school hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 2:25 p.m. This summer we will be working on updating our library media center. We will be combining library and computers as one specials class next school year. So students will have PE, art, music, library computer media, and as a fifth special we are adding science. Students will continue to have science in their regular classrooms, but once a week they will go to a science inquiry class where they will do science inquiry experiments. Many elementary schools have combined library and computers, which has allowed the addition of science as a special class once a week. Mrs. Redd will be moving into the role of K-4 science teacher next school year. We also have a few changes in our grade level teams for next year. You may see the changes in the table to the right. Classroom assignment information will be provided at registration on July 30-31 at BPMS. Because all of our teachers are highly VISION: Every DA Mallory Elementary School student will be prepared to succeed in the next grade level. Mission: Building a Better ME It is our hope that as we each individually strive to be a better “me,” we will collectively be E lementary.
