Slide 2 Slide 3 A Normal Flight It was the day. The day that I would go to Chicago for the very first time, and see my new baby cousin. As usual, I was nervous. Airplanes sometimes make me nervous. So, we got to the airport all ready. I sat down in the waiting area hoping not to go. Suddenly, an eyelash fell to my lap and wished: I dont want to get on this airplane!! When me and mom got back from the restroom, we noticed that something had changed! Slide 4 My First Indirect Flight The board that listed Chicago was CANCELLED!! I was thrilled! Unfortunately, we had to go Indirect, which meant that we had to fly to one place, get off, and then fly to another. I didnt like that idea, but we did it anyway. Going to Kansas City, MO had an upside to it as well. Some of my cousins came to see me! I couldnt believe it! We ate some dessert, chatted, and played at the KS airport for one full hour. Then, they had to go, but then I got to go to Chicago! And it turned out that indirect wasnt as bad as I thought. And I got my first souvenir! My own wings! Please insert picture of Katie, Emma, and Merran HERE Slide 5 Hello Chicago! After the 2 nd flight, I made it! The Chicago skies were lit with aluminous cotton candy clouds! We even exited the plane like movie stars! Before we knew it, Uncle Chris was at the gate to greet us! We hopped in his car and drove over to Panera Bread where we had dinner and met Aunt Abby and Norah! And the fun was only beginning! Slide 6 Life in the BIG City The next day, we woke up early to have a jumpstart on our first day in Chicago! We caught some breakfast and headed down to the train station where we would be transported to the Windy City. Once we got there, we first headed for the Willis Tower which overlooks 4 states at once! It was so cool standing on the glass and looking down! Mom got a picture of that! After having some lunch, and walking around, we went to the Field Museum, which had a really cool time- traveling exhibit called Evolving Planet. There was another cool exhibit called Underground Adventure, where you shrink 100 times smaller than you are and see soil in a hole new way! The next day me, mom, dad, Uncle Chris, Aunt Abby, and Norah went to the Brookfield Zoo, which was very close to where our aunt and uncle lived. We saw tons of cool animals like the Snow Leopard and Polar Bear. I had an amazing time pushing Norahs stroller and seeing the sights! Slide 8 The Last Night That last night that all of us spent together was a good one. We all ate out at a nice restaurant and enjoyed our company while it lasted! (Norah was feisty) Slide 9 Bye Chicago!! In the morning, we had to pack up our things and leave. We were going to leave a little early so we could eat at a place, but we didnt because of the rain to dampen our mood. After the rain had passed, we said our goodbyes and left for the airport. Slide 10 In the Sky Again! Once we got to the airport, I wasnt nervous at all! And we were lucky that none of my eyelashes fell out. The flight home was pretty normal in fact! I felt happy to be home. And I had some pretty good souvenirs to prove my great trip! Slide 11 My Chicago Souvenir Collection! #1 My Wings #2 Chicago Spinning Ball Key Chain #3 Giant Penny!!!
