A monotheistic system of beliefs and practices based on the Old and New Testaments of the

Bible and the teachings of Jesus Christ, as well as the fact that He, Jesus Christ is Savior.

Christianity is about a relationship, rather than a religious practice, with Christ-the Savior and Heavenly Father

The Goal in a Christian’s life is to cultivate a close walk and relationship with God the Father.

This relationship is made possible because of the work and sacrifice of Jesus Christ and the ministry of the life of a Christian through the Holy Spirit and prayer.

Believe the Bible is the inspired, inherent Word of God and that its teachings are the final authority-2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21

The Bible is a Christian’s way of life-it is their wisdom, encouragement, inspiration, guide, and most importantly a way to hear the voice of God.

To become closer to Christ it is necessary to spend time in the Word of God

God is the creator of everything-the heavens, the earth, and everything in them-Genesis

People were created specifically to have a relationship with Christ and sin is the only thing that can separate that relationship-Romans 5:12; 3:23

God is sovereign and the only one blameless without sin

God is love, grace, mercy. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. No one

can get into Heaven except through Him. John 14:6

Everyone is a sinner and fall short of the Glory of God without his grace-Isaiah 64:6-7; Isaiah 53:6

Christianity teaches that Jesus Christ walked the earth-fully God and fully man. Philippians 2:6-11

His purpose in life was to die on the Cross, the worst death, for all his children’s sin and pay the price so that all can accept Him and His grace and be with Him in Heaven after death.

This death on the cross was sufficient to completely pay the sin debt owed by all men and this alone is what restores the relationship between God and man-Hebrews 9:11-14; 10:10; Romans 6:23; Romans 5:8

After suffering and dying on the cross Christ was buried and then arose again.

Christ alone conquered death and now sits at the right hand of the Father making intercession for believers forever.

Hebrews 7:25; Luke 24; Matthew 26; Matthew 28

In order to be saved in Christianity, one must simply place their faith entirely in the finished work of Christ on the cross and believe that he came, died, and rose again for sins of all so that one may receive grace and eternal life.

If one chooses to believe that Christ died in his/her place to pay the cost of sins and that He rose again and are committed to a relationship with Him then that person is saved.

There is nothing anyone can physically “do” to earn Salvation-Christ did all there is to do and there is nothing more to do.

So, while many religious systems require that a person do certain things or not do certain things, Christianity is about having a relationship with God.

Christianity is about believing that Christ died on the cross as payment for all sins and rose again.

That is true biblical Christianity
