There were about a dozen old cars and many more old friends who got another chance to chat, look at cars, and catch up with each other before and after the meeting. This month we will do the same, with the meeting starting at 6 p.m. The annual NHHAC picnic is scheduled for September 8. The club will provide the main course and drinks. We ask that you bring a dessert to share if your last name begins with the letter A - M and bring a side dish if you are N - Z. Please take a moment to thank Sean O'Neill for the great job he is doing as newsletter editor. Sean is moving to D.C. but has graciously agreed to stay on as editor until the end of the year. We are in need of newsletter editor. Just send a note to Sean and he'll make it sound like an easy job. Plenty of good weather in the forecast, so go for a drive in the old car!   • On July 14, 2019, the meeting was called to order by President Mary Jo Phillips following thepledge of allegiance. The minutes from the June 9 meeting were accepted by Steve Illsley andseconded by Pat O’Neill. Treasurer’s report: $1,470.44. Ken Barker accepted and Mike Cocoseconded.

    Wellness Report

    Suzanne Acker was at the meeting and is doing well after shoulder surgery. Cards were requestedfor JoAnne Stauffer as she recuperates from knee replacement surgery.

    Old Business

    September 8 picnic update by Jan Smith: John Marshall will do the catering. Two estimateswere obtained based on an approximate attendance of 55. The first estimate of $799.56 includeda full menu with sides included but dessert excluded. The second estimate of $304.95 includedmain items only with club members bringing sides and desserts. Decision was club will pay the$304.95 for the main items and members will bring sides and desserts. Last names beginningwith A to M will bring desserts; N to Z will bring sides. Mary Jo Swaney will supply chips; JackSwaney will bring soda and ice. Caterer will deliver at 1 p.m. To RSVP for the picnic, contact JanSmith no later than September 1.

    New Business

    New editor is required for newsletter as Sean O’Neill is moving to Washington, D.C. He hasagreed to stay on until the end of the year.

    Ken Barker proposed, beginning in 2020, that we change summer month (June, July, August)monthly meetings from Sunday to week day afternoon or evening. Decision will be made at theSeptember picnic.
