Impt. Tables and Transaction codes
Overview
There are many tables in the SAP system and it is very difficult to find out in which table the current data is stored. This is an attempt to list the important tables from different modules. Here Tables are differentiated based on the module to which it belongs.
Transaction codes are used to quickly get into a required screen. For example if anyone wants to create a purchase order (PO) the normal flow to enter PO screen will be like this:
Logistics --> Material management --> Purchasing --> Purchase Order --> Create.
Using a transaction code(ME51) we can directly get into PO screen from the main screen. Transaction code will contain four characters. Eg. ME51. The first letter will represent the module or application. Here Transaction Codes are differentiated based on the different modules.
