Kinder Pearls are having fun each week doing directed drawings with Ms Kernaghan and Ms Renee. This week we learnt the letter ‘m’ so we tried our hands at drawing monkeys. Not bad!!

The aim of the Home Reading Scheme (run throughout

the school) is to increase children’s reading skills and

their enjoyment of books. Reading is an essential and

enjoyable lifelong skill. Every student has now received

their diary which allows them to record each night of

Home Reading that they complete including weekends

and holiday periods. Books appropriate for your child’s

reading abilities will be provided. Any reading material,

e.g. library books and books from home can be recorded

too. Check out the diary for further information. This

year, Home Reading prizes will be awarded for 10, 50,

100, 150, 200, 250 and 300 nights of reading. A list of

prizes can be found on the back cover of the diary.
