CDX: What it is not

• CDX is EPA’s Central Data Exchange

• EPA’s gateway for electronic reporting for various EPA statutory programs.

• Examples include TRI and 112(r) Risk Management Plan.

• You may have been signed up initially but if you did “accept” invitation, you’ll need to sign up again.

• For most DAQ employees, this is the program most applicable to what we do.

• CEDRI is the Compliance and Emission Data Reporting Interface

• Referenced as CEDRI or CEDRI/CDX

• EPA Reviewer

• State Reviewer

• Certifier

• Delegated Certifier

• Preparer

Certifiers can submit electronic data. Acts as signature for the Responsible Official

What “Role” in CEDRI?

Initial Sign-up as a State Reviewer

Default is to receive all reports for all counties in the state.

You can choose to receive only reports for your counties in your region and what reports to be received. (Currently only NOCS and ERT are active)

ERT Supported Test Methods

• EPA proposed electronic reporting for most reports under the NSPS

• Allows paper submission to DAQ but requires electronic to EPA

• Some electronic reporting already included in 40 CFR 60 and 40 CFR 63

• ERT may not be the best platform

• NC DAQ is looking into ways to accept electronic submissions
