The Law Separates

• No one can keep the Law besides Christ• Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is

the knowledge of sin. Romans 3:20

• The human heart is an idol factory• For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and

unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. Romans 1:18-23

Strangers and Aliens

• All people are sinners, separated from God

• You yourselves do wrong and cheat, and you do these things to your brethren! Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. 1 Corinthians 6:8-11a

Jesus Calls You Home

• The good news of the gospel is that Jesus takes sinners who are separated from God and redeems them into His family• And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but

you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.1 Corinthians 6:11

• And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight. Colossians 1:21-22

• It is the joy and honor of every Christian to be involved in this process of calling all people to repent and be saved
