• It is a social activity that helps to improve the processes

and products in every field of life like industry, business,

medicine, education, agriculture, economics etc.

• It is considered to be the more formal, systematic,

intensive process of carrying out scientific analysis and it

involves a systematic investigation that may result in a

formal record of procedures and some kind of 

generalization

• Research is a tool for management that helps business managersovercome conflicts, solve business problems, attain organizationalobjectives, promote knowledge, improve processes and adapteffectively to business environment

• Modern management is predominantly over-ridden with the scientificattitude and scientific methods of approach as science has helped theworld countries in their scientific and technological advancement byfinding out the solutions to the problems faced by humanity
