A message to our customers:

When Florentine Craftsmen opened its doors in New York City more than 90 years ago, it was to offer Americans the finest in hand-crafted garden statuary and ornaments, fountains, gazebos, outdoor furniture, planters, and urns – all in the proudest traditions of European workmanship.

Our product line is based on original designs and molds developed by Florentine Craftsmen founder Vincent Primavera. Mr. Primavera was an Italian émigré and artisan who founded the company in New York City in 1915.

Today we continue the tradition and uphold the same vision, standards, and method of production set by Mr. Primavera. We take great pride in our work, having never fractionalized on the talent or time it takes to maintain a process of superb craftsmanship.

The Florentine Craftsmen product line is handcrafted on premises in our New York facility using the finest materials of lead, bronze, wrought iron, cast aluminum, and stone. By design, Florentine Craftsmen has remained a small company. This is an advantage to our customers, as products are not mass-produced. Our clientele include many of the nation’s leading landscape designers and architects.

The method for the creation of a Florentine Craftsmen work of art is highly meticulous, involving the pouring of materials, grinding, chiseling, welding and painting. The materials, as well as the construction, have never been compromised. Quality control is paramount. A piece is complete after the artisan and president inspect every last detail. Only then is the Florentine Craftsmen signature of approval applied.

premium welded collectionThe pieces in the welded collection are laden with detail and look distinctly modern – almost a century after the designs were cast. These classic garden and terrace furnishings are solid and sturdy, made of all cast aluminum and hand-welded for superlative quality. finishesSelect from any of the finishes shown to complement your décor or garden setting. Most Florentine Craftsmen statuary items are made of lead and can be enjoyed in their natural oxidized state. Upon receipt of your statuary it will have a dark charcoal gray hue. Once placed out of doors the rain will streak and lighten it to a pale ashen gray, giving it the look of a treasured antique. Should you select to add a painted finish to your statuary a 10% premium will be added to the list price. There is no charge for finishes on furniture and fountains. All finishing is completed by hand, therefore colors may vary slightly.
