Night before boardingNight before boarding is $125 per boat, and is allowed after 5:00pm. A 24-hour advance notice is required.

To avoid any misunderstandingsWe check all mechanical equipment prior to departure. You need not accept your boat and equipment until you are satisfied. However, once upon the river, you alone are responsible for its operation. Under these circumstances, we cannot be responsible for any loss of cruising time due to mechanical failure, weather, illness or personal accidents.

Rental Conditions• Sumerset and Sunstar rentals require a deposit of $750 for a 3-4 day

rental. The week rental requires a deposit of $1000.• Monticello & Sharpe rentals require a deposit of $1000 for 3-4 day rental.

The weekly rental requires a deposit of $1250.• Deposit is due within 5 days of making reservations. Your reservation will

be automatically cancelled if the deposit is not received within that time period. Within 10 days of receiving your deposit, a confirmation will be sent to you.

• Upon occupancy of the boat, the reservation deposit converts to a security deposit. This will not be subtracted from the rental fee. The security deposit will be refunded the day the boat is returned on time, undamaged, and the gas bill is paid.

• Prior to departure, a lease agreement must be signed and rental fee paid in full including a 7% state tax.

• A 60-day or more written advance notice is required in order to claim a deposit refund, minus a 20% administrative fee. If you cancel with less than 60 days notice, S&S will transfer the entire deposit one time to any other date this year or next year on any model of houseboat. Subject to availability.

• Refunds will not be made on boats returned early or for late departures.• Renter is financially responsibly for loss, breakage or damages.• Rental fees may be paid with MasterCard, VISA or Discover, certified or

cashier’s checks, money orders, travel checks, or cash.• No personal checks.• Fuel tanks will be full when boat is rented and refilled at renter’s expense

upon return.• No guns or fireworks allowed. • Can the renter purchase a damage waiver from S&S? Yes, a damage

waiver may be purchased to cover our equipment. This applies only to the property of S&S Rentals. It includes the drive unit, propeller, and equipment inventory. This does not cover any third party property or personal injury. The cost of this coverage is $34 per day on the Sumerset and $47 per day on the Sharpe, Sunstar and Monticello. After payment of the security deposit, S&S will repair or replace the damage at it’s cost. Without the damage waiver, the renter is responsible for any and all damage, loss, or breakage to the houseboat.

Note: The refrigerators on board don’t run as cold as your home unit. When temperatures reach 90° or higher, we recommend using ice chests for products that are perishable, such as meat and dairy products.

What is an Assisted Houseboat Rental? Assisted by us, you and your houseboat will be piloted to a beach where the houseboat is anchored and remains stationary for the duration of your rental. The houseboat and all of its equipment and amenities are ready for your use. We also assist you in returning to home port at the end of your stay. Size of your group will dictate the model of houseboat.

For an additional fee, you can rent a fishing or pontoon boat from S&S if you want to cruise the river.
